Terry McAuliffe on MSNBC: Send money to hillaryclinton.com
I kid you not. He just said it during his interview on Morning Joe today. Mika tried to nervously laugh it off, but it came out a little bit on the pathetic side. Is it really a wise strategy to have your surrogates beg for money like this on the national news networks? Is her campaign really that much in debt?

1. She's far from the first candidate to ask for money
I'm pretty sure even Obama has done it.

9. Maybe it's just Terry's in-your-face personality asking for money
I should have expressed that sentiment more. Of course it's no surprise for Hillary to ask for money. The way that Terry did it with his bombastic personality almost sounded like he was mocking Hillary, yet I know that he wouldn't try to do that on purpose. He should have got the website in a slightly different way. I think that he was surprised that the interview was ending (even if it was pretty long) and just tried to get it in at the last minute.

how is that "victimization peddling"? By pointing out that politicians ask for money?

You're getting more daft by the day.

26. It wasn't asking for money
it was HOW he asked for the money. I think he needs to give up his morning caffeine so that he's a little bit more normal. His energy is always great later in the day though.

38. Because this is ALL you do lately. Someone will make a valid criticism of something Hillary's
campaign did in real time, and then here comes you, saying " Hey! Other people may have done this! I don't have proof, and accusing other campaigns isn't really germain to the conversation, but gosh darn it, stop picking on our gal!!!!"

Its insufferable.

45. then put me on ignore
but there was nothing at all in my post that any rational person could read as "victimization".

The problem is people here attack Clinton on absolutely EVERYTHING she does - and I defend her. That's not victimization - that's just defending my candidate.

39. no - not on t.v., not at rallies,
the first time she did it after a victory, all the talking heads were talking about how unprecedented it was. They definitely said it was highly unusual, if not the first time in their careers covering politics, that a candidate asked for money in a victory speech.

didn't Kucinich refer to his website during a debate?

I just think people are going out of their way to find something to complain about.

6. She wants the money and a vp slot ....
and she'll do anything to get them both. Money is all about power and is a bargaing chip for her at this point. She will hold this party hostage and run it into the ground if she doesn't get what she thinks is owed to her.

11. That's because Obama
is too small-minded, arrogant and deluded. He wants a yes-man or yes-woman on his ticket. Doesn't want a strong independent woman, with a huge base of support of her own. He's not man enough to handle Hillary on the ticket!

20. Is Michelle a strong independent woman?
So he's okay spending the rest of his life with such a woman and raising a family with her, but would not share any 'power' with one? Kathleen Sebelius is a leading V.P. candidate and she is considered by many to be a strong, independent woman.

Oops, I'm sorry, did the kitchen sink hit your toe while you were throwing it?

36. Ridiculous. Neither you or the poster you're responding to has
a clue as to whether Clinton will be offered the vp slot. You don't have a freakin' clue as to what Obama wants in the way of a VP. You certainly have no grounds whatsoever for positing that he doesn't want a strong independent woman on the ticket. And your sexist bullshit about how he's "not man enough" is no better than the sexist bullshit you complain so vociferously about. If Obama has demonstrated one thing, it's that he's a very pragmatic man who wants to win.

If you had any intellectual honesty, you'd admit that I'm right about what I said in this post.

10. It sounds like they are really not dealing with reality.
From Tuesday’s Wall Street Journal

Inside her campaign, Sen. Clinton isn’t asking for advice, forcing advisers to hold off discussions on what she wants from the process if she loses — from dealing with campaign debt, to her role in an Obama bid for the White House. “The campaign has broken down to those who drink the Kool-Aid that Hillary can still win, and those who don’t, and are considering their options,” one operative said.

It did make me kind of crack up, just because they were ending the interview and he shouted "hillaryclinton.com! send money! send money!" before the feed died. Is it just me, or did that Terry interview last forever? They had on Tom Daschle before and literally asked three questions..Mika said "If Obama is the nominee, why the loss in Kentucky and WV? blah blah blah" And he answered it, and then Pat asked the same thing...and then Mika asked about the majority of pledged delegates. When Tom said "We're going to have party unity", Mika actually sniffed "I don't know about that!" And then the interview was over, and Mika said "Coming up...my baby (!) Terry, who is never wrong (!) about the primaries." When the Terry interview was over, Mika said "He always has his coffee!" Um, I don't think that's coffee, Mika. Glad to hear that Joe's baby is going to be ok (well, when it comes, hopefully).

32. She's so fake
It really shows when she fakes reactions to stories right before they show a video of something. It's completely live from 6am-9am, but she has to feign the same reaction over and over again since they kind of do the same storyline for each hour.

40. In her defense, I'm sure her producers are encouraging it
They're just assuming that most people only see a 1-hour section of the show and not more of it. I have to say that I have enjoyed her taking over for Joe Scarborough though. He can be an idiot sometimes drinking the Republican Kool-Aid.

41. Maybe she had a "talking to" by the producers,
and that's why she does it in such a fake, exaggerated way, because she knows that she is doing it to please them. Honestly, sometimes that's why I think Joe really exaggerates his "Hillary is my muse!" stuff.

33. one funny thing
is that I think Pat kept getting pissed that MIKA was the one who kept asking the first question about Obama's "white voter problems", because it was literally the first question she asked other guests, and right after the guest would answer it, Pat would repeat the same exact question. He just couldn't help himself! haha.

Never once had the decency to send me a thank you letter that didn't ask for more.

That may fly for some people, but not for me. I found it repugnant.
