Good Morning Democratic Underground,
A Democratic Presidential Candidate is coming to Florida the week of May 20th. We ask all FDR Members and ALL Florida Voters to make a show of force at these campaign stops and ask the candidate to "RESPECT OUR VOTES!" Florida Demands Representation
respects the right of ALL voters to have their votes count and their voices be heard. We believe ALL the votes from the January 29th
Presidential Preference Primary be counted and the Delegates Seated according to the State Certified Results.

This is a civil and voting rights issue. We do not have a position supporting a candidate nor do we feel it is our business who Floridians voted for. We believe that choice is personal. But we also believe in the United States, when we vote, those votes SHOULD BE COUNTED. FDR asks that ALL PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES support the rights of the PEOPLE OF FLORIDA to have their votes, and their voice be heard.

WE, THE PEOPLE, DID NOT BREAK THE RULES. WE CALL ON ALL CANDIDATES TO SUPPORT FLORIDA VOTERS AND COUNT ALL THE VOTES
AND SEAT THE DELEGATES ACCORDING TO THE JANUARY 29, 2008 PRIMARY RESULTS.

And it being announced that it was for the distribution of ZERO delegates, some people probably stayed home or voted differently that they might have. How do you count those votes?

But the DNC cannot count your votes as is because the primary WAS NOT valid, and equally important, you and the people who moved your primary date were WARNED accordingly. If you want to urge the candidates to urge the DNC to come up with a solution that "respects" you, the people who didn't vote because the primary would not be valid, and the states who DID obey the DNC rules, you have my support. But I won't support a solution that effectively puts the DNC out of business--and respect the fact that the candidates didn't break the rules, either.
