Poll question: Why is Mario Cuomo pushing an Obama - Clinton ticket?
Democratic politicians in New York State are slavering to begin a game of musical chairs should Hillary's Senate seat open up. These politicans include RFK, jr and Andrew Cuomo.

1. I voted for the second choice, but maybe Mario wants the
Senate seat himself .

3. Need "Other"
I voted for the second choice, but the real answer may lie in Mario's desire to remain "relevant."

6. Not only will his DLC son get the senate seat but the DLC will be able to fight ....
the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party more effectively from the VP office than outside.

7. I'm not sure
that there is a contradiction between the two. It is very likely that Mario Cuomo believes that an Obama/Clinton ticket is best for the country, and that he would like to see either his son or RFK, Jr., take the Senate seat. Cuomo is a solid democrat, in my book. I'm not saying that I agree with the idea of the "unity" ticket, but I can respect that he believes it is the thing to do.

9. Because he's smarter than 99.99% of all other Democrats.
Would've been an outstanding President.

11. All you cynics don't know Mario.
He genuinely wants party unity and he thinks that we can only achieve it if the two people who have each won half of the Democratic vote join forces and run on the same ticket.
