I've said it before and I'll say it again: it's the LOSER's job to unify their supporters...
...behind the winner. After all, their loyalty should be first and foremost to ALL Democrats (ie the party), not just their supporters.

I've said it before, but this time I'll be blunt: if Hillary loses the nomination, it is HER responsibility to bring her followers into Obama's camp by endorsing and supporting him as much as possible. For some of the more disgruntled, nothing Obama could say or do could assuage them from sitting out or voting McCain in November--whereas what Hillary says and does would be of great importance.

We must unify by November. This isn't Gore vs. Bush in 2000--this is a race between two Democrats who essentially stand for the same principles. If she loses the nom--SHE has to do the heavy lifting to set things straight. It may not be easy or comfortable for her, but hey--that's why they call it LOSING.

And one more thing--Fuck 2012. Our country needs a Democrat NOW.

1. I would agree, everyone enters the race with that understanding
that the winner can expect and will get the support of the losers. It's a shame Hillary doesn't think the rules apply to her.

2. I think the responsibility lies with both of them.
A picture of the two of them as a unified team will do more to unite the party and bring the naysayers aboard than anything else. She has to show that she will back him up and he has to show that she is welcome to stand beside him and has his respect. To put the responsibility only on one party does not further the goal of unifying the party.

3. So, supporters 'belong' to the nominee and have no brains of their own?
The loser can endorse the winner, but that does not mean that all of the loser's supporters will automatically go to the winner. The supporters can make up their own minds. The winner should court those who make up their own mind.

4. I agree, I think that's why Obama has been calling on you guys to be nice to
Hillary supporters, he sees the writing on the wall.

9. It doesn't - it full well knows Senator Obama is going to be the nominee. Just trying to get a rise
out of a genuine Democrat.

8. That's how it went for: Biden, Dodd, Richardson, Edwards, Romney
Huckabee, Hunter, and every single other candidate who lost this race. She's so afraid of losing respect that she's losing respect.
