Only Terry McAuliffe could turn a SURE THING into a loss!!!
Hillary had every advantage in the world!

She had money, power, name recogination and political connection like no other candidate in history.

She had a popular ex-president as a husband.

In April 2007 she was leading Obama and Edwards COMBINED by 40 points.

And how in the world could she be losing to a unknown candidate?

Terry McAuliffe!!!

We all owe Terry McAuliffe a thank you!

7. He has been so damaging to the DEMS nationally. I do not understand why team Clinton EVER liked him
Edited on Tue May-20-08 06:53 PM by havocmom
He is the cartoon of DEMs the likes of Rush and Hannity love to misrepresent as all DEMS. Elitist, smart ass, and completely outta touch.

It pains me, but I think Bill & Hill are just so starved to 'fit in' with the high rollers (real power in the world) that they always fall for this modern day Rasputin. He is the fastest route to destruction.

edited for clarity

9. All you need to know about Terry McAuliffe is
that he was DNC chairman from 2001-2005. Think about what happened to the Democratic Party then.

20. To give the devil his due
He was brilliant at getting us out of debt--for probably the first time in history--and for building a database of supporters to rival that of the GOP. But ... I think that also shows the limits of his ability. One can be excellent at that sort of thing and suck mightily elsewhere.

25. McAuliffe fucked over every Dem candidate and voter from 2001-2005. DELIBERATELY, imo.
As arranged by Bush-Clinton-BushInc.

10. It was never a sure thing
only her opponents say that. The Clintons themselves said she might not win the nomination - over a year ago.

15. and a year ago
I remember Bill saying he told her that if she runs, she might not get the nomination.

All candidates speak positively. I even heard Kucinich and Gravel say they believed they'd win.

But confidence isn't the same thing as claiming you're inevitable. that was an invention of her opponents.

19. I beg to differ, and we can agree to disagree. But her comments to Katie Couric
were not, in my opinion, just that of a candidate projecting strength. They were of a candidate who felt the nomination was inevitable.

His lack of understanding of the process had her doomed before the contest was really even underfoot.
