that's why he is going on Ellen and attending events like the NAACP that Republicans usually don't go to.

some conservatives are just too turned off that they wont go out and vote. they were promised a lot of good things if they voted for Bush and they did so twice and their personal life just got worse. they are suffering financially. the war in Iraq is a mess but they are in a hard place and can't right now totally admit it was all a lie and has been a disaster.

McCain also can't do some things that Bush did like appeal to racists because of his own daughter.

these people are still not at the point where they will consider a Democrat. maybe if their lives improve under Obama they will 4 years from now. but not right now.

1. I know several conservatives who can't stand McCain.
The true honest to gosh fiscal conservatives I know really dislike McCain and his economic policies. He lost them right about the time he started talking up the Bush doctrine and assuming it as his own.

One of them actually has told me a few times that he'll vote for obama but not for McCain simply because he feels McCain is THAT bad with financial policies.

2. I thought there was some kind of impeachment hearings against him in Az.
a few years ago.

Sorry if this isn't accurate, but I know he pissed off a lot of people in his own state over some matter.
