Photo of Me and Barack....and the Mustard Seed.....!!!!!!
Ok, if you thought you were jealous last night, here is one more photo to share that a friend just sent me.....

It is a picture of Obama accepting the mustard seed pin and note that I gave to him in Maitland. You thought my smile was nice....how about his when he heard what it was. I think his face shows it all....

Of course, I had to have my eyes closed.... :silly:

1. Awesome! Congratulations!
I was able to meet him like that, too. We are very lucky, aren't we!? We both gave him a little something in return--and it sure feels good, doesn't it! He looks very dashing in that picture!

3. A treasured keepsake, to be sure
I have a friend who has a little shrine to Bill Clinton and JFK, and her picture with Bill is the centerpiece.

BTW, someone can probably photoshop you some eyes. ;)

12. Ha! You should see mine!
Mine's at least 3-4 times the size of yours - with a bump. I love it. It works! It holds up my glasses! It rarely gets plugged up. It's diSTINKtive!

Wear what God and your parents gave you PROUDLY! Ubetcha.

That guy to Barack's right (your left) looks VERY interested in what you're handing him!

Very exciting!

7. the funny thing is that when they were coming around, I asked the Secret Service first if
"they" would give it to him thinking that it would never happen with me but the guy just said...."You can give it to him." But, then they made me put my pen away for sure.....so he should have known what it was but yes, I noticed in a few of the photos just how much they scrutinize you. And, in the video I took, you can see one guy watching me constantly. He is in the whole video in the background and never took his eyes off me.

10. a mustard seed pin is...
a lapel pin with a small mustard seed in it and a glass dome over it. It symbolizes the Bible passage....

...The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

– Matthew 13:31–2

I told him in the note that those of us rallying around him are like the mustard seed where we grow into one powerful movement. And then I told him that it was better than any flag lapel pin. I think that is what he was smiling at.

30. chuckle chuckle, the best part is that my son in law is a very
Conservative Jewish Republican married to my Independent Catholic daughter and they were the ones who gave me the book I got signed also at the event. He doesn't know I went to see him yet and we get to spring all of this on him tomorrow night. I can't wait to see his face and show him that I got the book signed for his son, my grandson, and that he will now get the book back someday and it will be worth more than when they gave it to me....

And, with the picture now, it is even better.

Now, if only the mustard seed idea would grow....

25. thanks. yes they were watching, but like I said, I had already told them
I was giving it to him. Besides, they already checked it when I went through security. It was in my purse.....

But, would you believe that I checked in and never had to show ID. That surprised me. But, they did make us turn ON our cell phones and cameras. Why is that? Is it so that they can follow you through global positioning? Or does that have something to do with the security scanners?

27. oh and there was a hotel lady in uniform, but I was watching her and
I am sure she was incognito and belonged to them. She kinda gave herself away....Anyone that positions herself by the restroom and stands there with a bug in her ear deserves to be outed....It was amazing how many other ladies around me were fooled though....

ensures that the devices internal components haven't been replaced with something more nefarious.

Oh, and a kick for a great story. :)

39. thanks, I thought it might be something like that. at first I thought
that it was so they could "track" the cell phones but then when they said digital cameras, too, I knew they didn't have global positioning in them so it wasn't that.

But, my car was parked about 300 yards away and no one ever checked that nor any of the other ones.
