4. Can ya all wait until I vote. even though it won't mean anything?
Edwards! :woohoo:

Yeah, I am looking forward to it being over, but wishing California still voted in June. HRC wouldn't have the same results now that so many have seen the essential woman under the pretty shell.

So, we moved up the primaries so our candidate would have a longer season to campaign for GE? THAT didn't work out. Since it didn't, I would rather see the later primaries so the candidates would be better exposed for our inspection. Polls indicate there is a lot of buyers' remorse in some of the states that voted earlier.

36. We're having lots of rain (snow in mts) so it should be wearing its green best for you!
Helena should still be smelling sweet of all the old, old lilac bushes all over town.

Go to the Windbag on Last Chance Gulch. Lunch or supper, you'll thank me.

9. Why don't we just wish the election were over,
and we had total control of the White House, the House, and the Senate?

And while we're at it, let's have low gas prices and the kind of medical care they have in other countries.

12. The primary is over when the votes are taken in Denver.
Edited on Fri May-23-08 09:09 AM by Benhurst
The efforts of Nancy Impeachment-is-off-the-table Pelosi and others to short-circuit the process for "party unity" are short-sighted as well as anti-democratic.

The rules for this primary suck; but who agreed to them and put them in place? It was our "leaders," including Pelosi, Clinton and Obama.

We should play by the rules. No one has the nomination until either he or she has the majority of elected delegates (which no one can obtain at this late date) or is pulled over the finish line by the super delegates by a vote at the convention.

All the whining accomplishes nothing. And probably makes it even more difficult to bring the party back together for the general election, a goal which looks increasingly unobtainable.

The day after the election, win or lose, reforming the rules for the 2012 primaries should be started.

14. Well, yes the primaries will be "over" when the actual votes are taken.
OTOH, we should have a presumptive nominee in the near future. If a candidate is able to garner the required number of delegates and super delegates as defined by the "rules" we will have a presumptive nominee.
