*****TODAY'S ELECTORAL MAP: Obama 302, McHundred 236***********
Using the most recent polls in battlegrounds and other states, Barack Obama currently holds a 302-236 electoral vote lead over McHundred. States in Obama's favor include: VA, WA, OR, CA, NM, CO, IA, WI, MI, OH, PA, IL, NJ, NY, MA, CT, ME, DE, DC, HI, MD, MN, RI, and VT.

These numbers show flips from red in 04 to blue in 08 in CO, NM, OH, and IA, and blue holds for all states except NH. Disclaimer: solid blues RI, DE, ME, MD, HI, and VT polls are old ones, but no reason for panic in these states. I couldn't locate any poll for DC, but it's safely blue, too.

Note: no Florida necessary.

3. As I feared--Arkansans are racist idiots
Just looked at polls for Arkansas--if Clinton runs, she gets over 50% to McSame's 30%--but if Obama is the nominee, the percentages are reversed. My boss says he's "afraid" of Obama because he's a Muslim who took his oath of office on the Qur'an. Plus he's black, but that is only whispered, you know. Won't listen to reason or the truth. Besides, I'm just a woman, and his good ol' preacher and Glenn Beck told him this was the truth.

19. Ask him if he knows of the Rev. Wright controversy.
When he says he does, then ask him why an allegedly Muslim man would have a Christian preacher.

These turds can't have it both ways.

4. I don't mean to be a party pooper, but it's just as meaningless when Obama is ahead
it's simply much too early. Still, the change is in the right direction! (at least for now)

27. The GE has already begun
Although it's unfortunate that Obama has to begin the GE campaign with an albatross around his neck, it makes me respect him all that much more.

10. Polls this far out are useless. Still, they do put a crimp in the argument that Obama
cannot win VA, CO, PA, OH, or MI.

14. Trying to predict the electoral map in May...
is like attempting to predict the winner of the primary in January.
didn't work then, won't work today.

It makes no sense.

21. True, but Hillary is touting Karl Rove's electoral map that shows her fairing better in the GE
She is using it as an "argument" to the superdelegates. Any such arguments need to be countered.

Also, isn't it interesting how Rove is advocating for Hillary? Do you think he's got the Democrats best interests in mind? Of course not. Why Hillary would even use him is beyond me.

24. Desperate times call for desperate measures...
if I wrote a novel based on all of the particularities of this primary season,
the editor would tell me my premise was illogical, and unbelieveable.
I'd have to go back to the drawing board.

Maybe we can just give him a gentle shove out of the race. ;)
