3. Brings to mind a conversation I had with a friend last week...
An over inflated sense of self worth has brought down entire nations in the past. Why couldn't it bring down a political party now?

11. As if she'd have a chance.
Not after all she's pulled this year. She'll be lucky to keep her senate seat.

8. She knows that some of her claims are injurious to the party
However, for reason unknown to me she's still going down that road.

9. At this point her entire candidacy is injurious to the party...
the sad thing is that her supporters vow to stay loyal as she ostensibly "goes down with the ship". The thing they are not getting or acknowledging, however, is that Hillary will hardly sink. She and her husband have made millions, literally, since he left office. While she is carefully outfitting her new yacht for 2012, her supporters are mere mortals with 2 choices. Either ignore her theatrics and vote for Obama, or vote McCain as a "protest" and watch the crash and burn of the party, as well as the crash and burn of our economy and civil liberties. Hillary is going to be ok either way - she's got her yacht to kick back on for a few years. The question for her supporters is whether they are willing to go down with the party, or jump ship before drowning.

17. I can't believe you don't see how much more likely he is to lose without her on the ticket.
Look at the latest Gallup poll. His lead over Hillary is down nearly ten points from where it was just days ago. He's tied with McCain in the poll for GE preferences. Clinton beats McCain by 5 points.

If, as so many Obama supporters claim, too many people hate her and her negatives are too high, then why does she do better against McCain as often as she does, in these polls?

Obama's a fool if he doesn't ask her to be his VP.

5. could you operationally define "inflated sense of self worth" in this context?
because that statement really doesn't seem to make much sense.
