Am I The Only One Who'll Defend The Super Delegates?
I'm as frustrated as anyone that The Clintons are still spinning away like Tasmanian Devils on PCP, launching wild screeds against Obama, the DNC, Blacks, and Men. It seems as if the super delegates are letting this fester for too long.

But the alternative is far worse.

The problem is that HRC always shoots up in popularity when it's perceived that she's being attacked or ganged up on. Think New Hampshire, or her first Senate campaign.

Let's suppose that today the SDs came out en mass for Obama, shutting The Clintons down. Many would see that as the SDs ganging up on her, thus gaining sympathy for her that might harm us in the general election.

It's pretty clear that their has been, from the beginning, an orchestrated effort by the Obama camp to not attack Clinton. Instead, let her attack and look awful. And it's worked incredibly well. Obama's gone from trailing in national polls by 25% to leading by 15% or so.

Now there is an effort to drip-drip-drip the Obama-endorsing SDs out, making HRC more simply irrelevant one drip at a time, as things move slowly but inexorably to the end of her bid. She's fading off into extreme irrelevance, and her numbers are getting even worse by the day.

This is the best possible outcome.
