Hillary supporters - how do you justify Hillary's recent fuckup?
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x6092149

All I see is outrage, and not one single word from ardent Hillary supporters.

We'll be watching...

2. No doubt it will be rationalized and they will end up being perfectly fine with it.
THAT is the division in the party ... the pig-headed resistance to the glaring fact - the only one that matters - that she cannot exceed his delegate count and has lost. Just because she hasn't conceded doesn't make that any less true.

3. She says millions of words each day ...
who can blame her if some of them are what she's really thinking? :eyes:

I take back what I said. Florida can stay.

11. Actually, if she spoke at 2 words/second and did nothing but talk all day, it's only 172,800 words.

6. Roll call of who replied to that one is rather telling
Lots of rather bellicose HRC supporters are noticeable by their absence from the thread you linked to. Maybe they're attending another conference call to get this weekend's talking points list?

21. that's your fantasy defense of your candidate. Cheap politics.
If anything, the level of hatred expressed here at DU and elsewhere toward Hillary Clinton should give folks pause about her safety.

19. Explain what she meant by invoking a parallel that doesnt exist
But first, make sure you research your primary history.

There was no basis for comparison or bringing the "assassination" up. Another "SLASH & BURN" maneuver by her majesty.

13. I have already remarked on this in another thread.
Ridiculous, ridiculous, ridiculous! I was watching and listening. She referred to the fact that it was June and he was still running for the nomination when he was assassinated.

Ya'll must have O's death on your mind or something. You don't think it is just as likely that there would be an assassination attemt on Hillary's life or even Bill's? Let's hope all our candidates remain hale and hearty.

Ya'll are really stooping, and I mean stooping. Get real and do your candidate some good instead of killing his chances with your idiotic conjectures.

32. not likely
HRC does not have to fear assassination because she has made a deal with Bush and Company not to bring criminal charges against them. Of course many of us worry over Obama and express this fear, but to put it out in public, as she did, only brings focus for one of her blue collar white supporters to take the hint--please HRC folks, ask her to step down.

The hyperventilated response to her statement should be viewed in the context of that unbridled hatred already expressed. This attack on her is no different from any of the others. It's a sickness.

18. To Obama supporters any mention of facts and history makes
Hillary a racist and a dispicable person. Yet Obama can mention almost anything and it's ok. The truth is, most of my friends and family (black) mention this almost every time they talk about Obama. It's on everyon's minds...even the Secret Service. It was true for Jesse Jackson when he ran both times. You Obama folks are immature and petty.

22. THERE IS NO PARALLEL TO THOSE DATES IN COMPARISON TO HERS
She wasn't giving a history lesson, she was directly paralleling those events to her own. She's virtually mathematically eliminated from contention at this point, yet she sticks around. Now she's pulling this stunt?

We know our history far too well. We also know that the Clinton's think they are somehow entitled to the White House with no accountability. I'm surprised anybody that's a Democrat still supports her and her ilk.

30. Did you not read the lame responses from the few brave enough to make themselves . . .
Edited on Fri May-23-08 03:45 PM by InAbLuEsTaTe
look so rediculous. Sorry, but I was waiting to hear some genuine justification for Hillary's lame comments that were so far beyond the pale, it's clear that no justification exists. No one with a straight face can defend what Hillary said.

Hillary's political career is in shambles and she needs to stop, just pick up the pieces, and MOVE THE FUCK ON. But mostly, she needs to keep her big mouth shut and pay attention to doing the people's business in the Senate for which she gets paid, rather than running up huge campaign deficits, while she waits for the man (Obama) to pick up the check. Shillary keeps telling us she's an independent, intelligent woman - maybe she should start acting like one.

I'm sick of Hillary's whining and sick of her supporters who keep defending the indefensible.

Shit happens during political campaigns, including political assassinations. That's all she was saying.

All those airplane trips. Bad food. Who knows?

Go back to counting super delegates. There is nothing here.

31. Here, I'll try.
Did you all know that the day Bobby Kennedy was unfortunately assassinated was the day he was accepting the Democratic nomination?

In other words, he won that in June.

That was all she was saying.

Now, one can say that she should have left out the fact that he was assassinated on the same day as this, but to go so far as to imply that Clinton wants Obama assassinated? Really? Does that sound rational to you?
