How do you deal with stress?
I have a stressful profession, always dealing with people,
trying to help solve problems, struggling with crises,
trying very carefully to be all things to all people.

I know when I am operating on little sleep, poor diet,
and high stress, I am like a monkey on crack.

I overreact to charges and challenges,
the neurons in my brain don't always connect,
and god knows what sewage spews from my lips...
I hope that the people around me view me with kindness....

Right now I am horrified at what is being said about Senator Clinton.
I don't always approve of what she says and does,
but I cannot start digging her grave right now.

My faith is constantly reminding me to: "Put the best construction on the words
and deed of others." Consider always.. the best.

Can we step back from the pitchforks and torches,
and know, without a doubt, that she could not have meant what she said.

2. Probably, in the eyes of many, but...
I'd rather she left the race for a legitimate reason rather than being
flung from a bridge.

11. What are these things of which you speak?
My list:

verbally abusing the cat
banging head against wall
"debating" in GD-P
negotiating property lines with my deranged neighbor
driving in rush hour

you think your methods are more effective?

5. I drown my sorrows away with alcohol. Not a good way of dealing, but that's what I've been doing.
These last few months have not been the best financially or personally for me. It's not the worst of times for me, but I've seen better days. A better way would be simply to go for a walk, and I've done that as well. Walking is also free; alcohol...not so free.

Okay, seriously: I go out to my one room cabin and watch the wildlife around my pond.

14. I completely and totally gave up my stressful profession.
It was killing me and making me say/do all kinds of uncharacteristic things.

I'm a lot nicer now.
