From bittergate to assassinationgate.
Edited on Fri May-23-08 05:25 PM by Wizard777
Should Hillary be given the benefit of the doubt over her misuse of one lil word? Is this one word something people shouldn't make a big deal over? Should Hillary not have to spend weeks explaning what she meant by "assassination"? If she doesn't will that leave Obama "bitter"?

1. If it weren't for her non-apologetic apology, maybe.
But she's still better than McCain.

6. She did NOT aplogize. She says she only apoligizes *IF* it was offensive.
And even then, only to The Kennedys.

Two completely different scales of ineptitude.

10. Clinton made a big deal over Bitter. She ran with it. Rubbed Obama's nose in it at every given op.
So should Obama return the favor? Should Barack have people introduce him at event like this? Ladies and gentleman, introducing the man Hillary Clinton want's dead. Barack OBAMAAAAA! Should he just continue to be the class act and say, I won't rub Hillary's nose in this. I don't want her to feel bitter.

8. I actually thought of this earlier
but honestly, I don't think you can compare the two . The majority of pundits are giving her the benefit of the doubt and saying that it was mildly offensive, but she obviously didn't mean the implications and she has apologized. Obama apologized and the pundits said that the comments were elitist and condescending, with the majority not even attempting to analyze what he was saying and instead going straight to "what will the gun owners think?!" I agree that all candidates mispeak, but this is more on par to me with all of the other awkward historical references and comparisons she has made throughout the whole campaign trail, like the Zimbabwe election comparison. I guess I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt and say that she is sorry and did not mean the implications, but it just fits in to me with the other historical references that she has made that have offended me.

14. the timing of this was just funny for me
I was reading the Post (not my copy. I feel embarassed about reading The Post since it is so trashy) late this afternoon, and there was a comment from the vice chair of the DLC saying that if Obama is the nominee, he should pick Hillary as the VP. And then he followed up with "She would make a good president if anything were ever to happen to him". And I thought "That's a really strange way to..put it. But I'm probably being overly sensitive." And then I turned on the tv and Hillary was talking about this. I find it offensive, but I think I would find it more offensive if I wasn't so numbed to her at this point. She jumped the shark for me a long time ago, so I wasn't really shocked, and I have heard her make this reference before.

15. Theres a Twisted Tune in this somewhere.
To Aerosmiths Janies Got A Gun

Everybody run
Hillary's got a gun.
What did Obama do?
He made her write an IOU.

She had to take him down easy
and put a bullet in his brain.
She said, man he had it comming.
This PMS is driving me insane.

Ah it's a good start. But it need work.

13. Hillary might become a victim of her own policy of making a big deal over one word.
