How do you like your candidate Hillary Clinton now?
After watching that disgusting 'reason' as to why she should stick around, I would expect every compassionate liberal Democrat to distance themselves from her atrocious remarks today and point at it as a desperate attempt to bring up that Obama just might get murdered for being a black man.

She's on the verge of a nervous breakdown. I am being serious. Pray for her...

1. What BS. This "twisting" of her words and intent is disgusting and usual hue and cry of

"racism" in imbued in this OP. But it is what I expect from the Obama camp. This statement was about it being June not about Obama being black. And I still support Hillary over the empty suit.

3. June?
Lots of things happen in June. The 1984 nomination wasn't decided until June. What on earth does the RFK assassination have to do with anything? She might just as well have said that Martin Luther King, Jr. was killed in April. It's simply not relevant.

Personally, given her babbling and incoherence after she said that, I think she's exhausted and lacking the energy to make much sense, and something subliminal slipped out into her conscious speech.

19. What?
RFK was murdered in June, thereby guaranteeing that Humphrey was nominated.
This wasn't subliminal. Either she said it hoping for a positive effect, or she's so silly that she thinks whatever pops into her head is wise.

20. "What on earth does the RFK assassination have to do with anything? "
The RFK assassination happened in June and thus ended his campaign. And her husband won the 1992 nomination in June.

And she concludes that she shouldn't "drop out" until that last primary in Puerto Rico - in JUNE!

Get the relevancy now?

30. You stated the obvious,
just as Senator Clinton did. But there's no connection with her campaign. None whatsoever.

By the way, her husband had the nomination sewed up long before the California primary, and, back in 1992, primaries were held in different months. The 1984 nominee wasn't decided until June; perhaps Senator Clinton should have made reference to that.

Sorry, your proffered explanation, while kind, is of no value. She simply did something inexcusable and now lacks the integrity to make a proper apology. As for her comment about "holding Robert Kennedy's Senate seat," I wonder if Chuck Schumer - who's been there a lot longer than Senator Clinton - would take exception to that sort of shoddy attempt at an association that's not there.

After all, Ted Kennedy did endorse Obama.

So, thanks for trying, but you might want to check out some recent history, and you'll see why your rationalization, like Senator Clinton's, fails.

12. Obama is a respectable man, not an empty suit. And you have every right
to support Hillary, and I would not refer to her as an empty-hearted pantsuit. Let's show respect, even if we disagree.

defend it as you wish, saracat.

27. Why mention assassination and Bobby Kennedy?
Who said this was racism? What she said was out of bounds and unnecessary.

Or are you waiting for assassination too? If not, you should condemn her words.

I know you think I'm joking Bluebear... it's hard to sound compassionate on a political board discussing someone I heavily disagree with, so that did make me laugh what you wrote, but I'm being serious. No one since '68 has openly stated they're going to stick around in case the other guy's brains get splattered, as a reason to stick it out...

I will speak out against that from any candidate.

It was an idiotic thing to say, and her campaign is over. Nobody can believe that she can recover from that gaffe, no matter what the intent :)

It helps. I don't want to read posts by anybody who could defend assassination remarks. Assassinations of JFK, MLK and RFK HURT America worse than anything I know.

29. Make up your mind
It's either an over reaction or fake. It can't be both. If you over react, it's not fake.

So, do you hope Obama will be assassinated? Are you hoping for disaster?

Why do you support her.

What she said was at best unfortunate.

What the hell? Is she mocking the Kennedy's? In addition to what this means for Obama.

I have now lost all - all - all respect for her.
