Obama just released a statement from Ethel Kennedy, widow of Robert F. Kennedy. She called him "a magnetic force" and said:
“Barack is so like Bobby, who struggled for the rights of the poor in the Mississippi Delta and Appalachia, traveled to California to stand in solidarity with Cesar Chavez and farm workers, and fought to end another war that cost so many lives."
http://blogs.usatoday.com/onpolitics/2008/02/latest-in-kenne.htmlIn Salem, N.H., a few days ago, a woman standing behind me, waiting to get into an Obama rally, said, “He’s just like Bobby Kennedy.” Another journalist at the rally, picking up on this idea, commented to me on the way Mr. Obama’s suit fits his wiry frame tightly and squared at the shoulders, so that his silhouette appears Kennedyesque. Earlier this week, an NBC.com blogger offered a lengthy comparison between the lives of Mr. Obama and Robert Kennedy.

Kennedy. But he was assassinated. And Lyndon Baines Johnson was the one who actually” passed the civil rights legislation.
The comment, an apparent reference to Senator Barack Obama, is particularly striking given documented fears among blacks that Mr. Obama will be assassinated if elected.
http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/01/07/civilrights/An ugly topic is capturing attention on the Internet: Today the phrase "assassinate Obama" appeared on a list of the top 100 Google search terms.
...."
Of course, in asking that question, Editor and Publisher also mentioned that "Obama assassinate" already got 2,000 hits.
And I must mention this, because it's relevant to this post and appears to prove the publication's point: At 12:48 p.m. today, the phrase returned 190,000 results.
Presumably, many -- if not most -- of those searching the terms are worried about assassination, not advocating it.

'They will kill Obama if he becomes US president': Outcry over Nobel Prize winner's assassination warning
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-513512/They-kill-Obama-US-president-Outcry-Nobel-Prize-winners-assassination-warning.htmlThere are literally thousands of references, direct references made all the time, where is the outrage?
Hillary misspeaks, apologizes, and Obama supporters want her head on a stake.
The shameful twisting of words for political gain is typical, but still disappointing.
