Watch the youtube if you think it was an "accident" or "Freudian slip." It wasn't. It was a blatant reminder that sometimes, you know, shit happens, especially when the MIC is worried that a politician is threatening their gravy train, something Hillary "cluster bomb" Clinton wouldn't DREAM of doing.

Oh, and remember Bhutto? "Clinton ready, Obama reckless"? I've always wondered about that little stroke of luck.

2. She crossed the line years ago.
She's been selling us down the river since she was elected. War, Patriot Act, torture, and whatever else her CIA bush buddies wanted. Frankly she was probably assured that Obama's campaign would "implode" long before now.

4. I agree. No argument here- One name-Jackson Stephens-links the Clintons
with the bushs and all that is wrong with this country.

9. Remember when she was laughing it up in Memphis?
I'm sure that was just another coincidence.

16. On the anniversary of MLK's assassination
she went to Memphis to score points and was photographed laughing and waving on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel, now I guess a memorial. A couple of people here posted some of the photes and noted that it was tasteless at the least, but, they were alerted en masse and their threads were locked.

17. Ah yes...her smiling photo op from the motel room. I didn't know the threads were locked.
Thank you for the reference, Dailykoff.

3. NOT the first time she said it.
Hillary's Bizarre RFK Comment

Though she has now apologized for that very strange and tasteless comment to the Argus-Leader, this was not the first time she's said it. This from her interview with TIME Managing Editor Richard Stengel, published March 6:

TIME: Can you envision a point at which--if the race stays this close--Democratic Party elders would step in and say, "This is now hurting the party and whoever will be the nominee in the fall"?

CLINTON: No, I really can't. I think people have short memories. Primary contests used to last a lot longer. We all remember the great tragedy of Bobby Kennedy being assassinated in June in L.A. My husband didn't wrap up the nomination in 1992 until June. Having a primary contest go through June is nothing particularly unusual.

Her excuse now is that the Kennedys have been "much on my mind these days" with the illness of Senator Edward Kennedy, but that doesn't explain what brought it to mind more than two months ago.

8. Just like Mel Gibson.
Hillary's apology reminds me of Mel Gibson's apology for what he said to that cop. No matter what is said in apology, we all know that true inner feelings were revealed when the statement was made.

11. This is a woman who weighs every single word she says
who doesn't speak unless 3 focus groups sign off on it. This was no accident.

12. And she said practically the same sentence on March 6.
Two and a half months ago. Nope, not an accident, not a chance. I seriously doubt the media attention is an accident either.

14. She should have kept her evil pie hole shut.
Better yet she should have dropped out when she lost like every other serious candidate has done.

19. It was no accident. She's actually mentioned it before.
She knows what she was talking about and it's in poor taste, at the very least.
