Why are people excusing or defending Clinton's words?
Teach me. Can't you love Clinton and condemn her words? Did you think “assassinate” was an appropriate word?

Or are you going to defend her no matter what she says or does?

I am sorry you feel so attached to her that you can't see she that she made a mistake. That is very Clintonesque, that inability to apologize and recognize ones errors. Well, she made one.

Peace,
Tex Shelter

1. The genuine HRC boosters are because they are as crass and insensitive as their Queen. But a good
many of the HRC boosters have a home away from home here at DU, if you get my drift. After November, Jimmy will be welcoming many of them back with open arms...

2. Because they're human. Because we all make errors that cost us choices in life
It's how a democracy works. She's living on borrowed time, even if she wasn't before. That doesn't make it any less sad. I will defend her, but not the words she spoke. Her public service does not come down to three terribly insensitive analogies made (or the same analogy made three times) in the desperation of barely losing the most important race in her life.

I can't stand in her shoes right now. I can, however, be forgiving. That's my nature. That's why I'm a liberal and a Democrat.

7. And because some of them are too young to remember the horror of 1963 and 1968(April and June)
not to mention earlier assassinations and attempted assassinations.

5. It's an ugly note to end an overly long primary on.
I've made no bones about my dislike for the Clintons, but this kind thing diminishes the party in general.
