Something angers me even more than HRC's "assassination" comment...

...if that's possible.

...and that's her ghoulish "that's why I need to keep running" justification.

I'm I the only one who's bothered even MORE by that?

Duke

2. I think that's what everyone finds offensive...
the idea that she wants to be in a position to benefit if something awful should occur. But that is impossible now. The only good thing I can say is taht I'm glad we found out now and not later.

3. no, you are not the only one.
that is why there is bluster about it.

that is what she meant otherwise why say it.

she said to richardson, on that superdelegate call, He Can't Win.
now I see what she meant.

he is not allowed to win, and she will do/say/instigate Anything so he doesn't.

4. Exactly
I don't know which is worse... the idea that she really assumes the presidency would be hers, if - GOD FORBID - something did happen

or

The idea that she seems perfectly happy to get the job "that way". :puke:

6. that's exactly it-
it's not just that she brought up rfk's assassination, or that she brought it up in lieu of sen. kennedy's diagnosis, or that she brought it up at all; it's not just the insensitivity of it- it's precisely the fact that she used the assassination as her explanation for continuing on in a lost race.

7. Her comment made no sense when you think of it....
It is in no way a reason to continue the race.

She has lost this primary fight. The only way she can win is by splitting the party and destroying her chances in november....

So she may have reasons for continuing, but the idea that Obama might be assassinated is not even relevant!

If she were to suspend her campaign and endorse Obama...and the unspeakable happened (unspeakable, get it yet, hillary?) then Hillary would be in just as good a position to get the nomination if she had suspended her campaign as if she continued it, probably more so!

I think she knows this.

I think there is a sinuous aspect to this statement of hers. An assassination's bullet could just as easily strike Hillary. Or McCain. You don't have to be black to be the target of assassination attempts. Ask Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford's families. I dare suggest that if Obama was white, she never would have made such an idiotic statement. Can you picture her saying it if Biden was in Obama's shoes? It would be so idiotic she would see for herself it was and not say it!
