She was just providing examples of past campaigns that lasted until early summer. It was nothing more than that. She should have used a different example but there was no wrong.

And she could have mentioned them without mentioning RFK's assassination. Nevermind the fact that she was historically inaccurate and comparing apples and oranges.

First of all, Bill Clinton had already had the nomination wrapped up for weeks before June of 1992. In 1968, the California primary was held late due to a technicality, and RFK didn't even enter the race until March. The June of 1968 doesn't even begin to resemble the March of 2008. So even if she hadn't mentioned RFK being shot (for the third time since March), she would have been wrong in her comparisons.
