and waiting for him to get knocked off. She was trying desperately to be viewed as a valiant, strong leader who NEVER QUITS, fighting for all our votes to be counted! A great American leader!!!!

Her campaign will now be forever labeled as the "Vulture" campaign. I can already see the political cartoon in my head. Obama walking in the desert about to starve and a Vulture with Hillary's head on it circling above.

1. That's one thing that struck me about her remarks.

She's supposedly willing to accept/angling for the VP spot, and then gets caught on tape raising the possibility of her potential superior getting assassinated? Inappropriate at best, ghoulish at worst.

I always thought she was just doing what her handlers told her to do in order to win. I think she did get some bad advice. I think for the most part they just came up against someone very hard to beat and no matter what they tried to use to beat him, it didn't seem to have much effect.

I hope my OP doesn't seem like I am piling on. I feel like she is getting the short end of the stick on this issue. It's sad that she may go down because of something she probably never meant, though I don't agree with many of her campaigns tactics during the last couple of months. I was just posting what I think the media will do with her image after what happined. I think she is somewhere in between Joan of Arc and the Vulture. As you said, she is human after all.

I think your comparison as to her character traits are more than fair to her. I really feel she has been unfairly maligned and yet is deserving of some of the anger but not this vileness, still it saddens me after all she has done and the years she has spent offering her services for the American people, how quickly some can turn on one...

Can you imagine what the press would be doing with that? They would immediate put a veil of suspicion over her for her earlier statements and have us have even more suspicions of her involvement than people were of LBJ in the 60's...

It would probably kill the Dems in the next election then if she tried to run for the presidency then. People would want to clear the deck, whether there was any sort of real connection at all or not. That's another reason why she simply should not have said this if she had any ideas of being his running mate!
