Edited on Sat May-24-08 08:23 AM by shadowknows69
That recognizes the gravity and inappropriateness of what she said and the pattern of comments leading up to it. Please tell me half of my fellow Dems aren't brainwashed to the point of defending this vile act.

what the FUCK is wrong with you people? Is english your second language? Did you skip basic logic, grammar, reading skills in whatever school you attended (or were you all homeschooled by hillaryan political operatives)

STOP MAKING UP STORIES? As ghoulish as her words were, so are the words of her "die" hard supporters who would probably applaud if Obama was killed in June, allowing your queen to take his place.

30. We don't want anything to happen to Senator Obama...
Some of us have been through that before and it is truly tragic. Hillary said nothing wrong.

If anything happened to any of our dems we would be less for it. Look at Ted Kennedy, Paul Wellstone, etc. We are less if anything happens to any of us...alas something has happened to us. Some of us are only too willing to follow a logic without facts because in confirms what we already think. Logical, but false.

12. I've taken my meds thanks
And RFK Jr. doesn't speak for me or the rest of this country. I find it astounding he's not upset by this but then again it wasn't really a slight against his father was it? It's the Obama family who should be getting the apologies.

21. That's one of the more foolish posts on the subject this morning.
Yes, Bobby was involved in what she mentioned so he's got more right than most to an opinion. But not the only opinion. It's not Bobby anyone expects to get shot and it's not Bobby who has been getting death threats since before the campaign even started nor is it he who is getting them in increasing numbers even today. And it's not him that's spent the last several months scared and sure that the same thing that happened to MLK and Malcolm is going to happen again here.

http://www.splcenter.org/blog/2008/02/20/racist-attacks-on-obama-growing-more-heated/

This isn't a game to some of us, it's life and death in the most literal sense of the word and it's a real concern, not a fucking manufactured one like some of these freaks keep trying to say. That's one of the biggest flaws in the whole Clinton campaign. If we don't agree with you or yours we've got no right to even have an opinion? Bullshit. Speaking of meds it's about time for yours I'd think.

28. You might want to add 'jr' to that and clarify 'it'.
Bobby took a fair amount of time to actually die, so I suspect 'it' bothered him. For some value of 'it' and some value of Robert Kennedy.

36. The context of her statement was looking back for a couple of ...
historical references. Her husband would be an easy one. RFK would be an easy one to remember too, for those of us alive at the time. Claiming that she intended anything other than to say that she has every right to stay in the race is completely bogus.

Clinton hatred and fear do not make what she said any different than what she said.

38. Yes, she was looking for historical references...
...but wouldn't it have been smarter to look for a historical reference specifically referencing a primary continuing into June rather than one specifically referencing a candidate being assassinated in June with no actual reference to the campaign itself? That's where, even in context, people are reading bad things into it, and not necessarily because of "Clinton hatred and fear" (what the heck is that supposed to be, anyhow?).

37. I'm thinking my ignore list needs to be resurrected.
I don't like putting people on ignore and the list has been empty for a while. And yet I also am disgusted by the obtuse and/or deliberately dishonest attempts to justify Clinton's vile blather from yesterday. She's done, there is no point in discussing the degree of done that she happens to be with folks who are not even trying to be honest or have become delusionally blinded to reality.

39. I can empathise
I don't honestly think Sen. Clinton was expressing a desire for anything remotely like assassination to happen to Sen. Obama, but it mystifies me that there are a lot of people who can't even seem to acknowledge that what she said yesterday, intentional or not, contains an implication which should never be explicitly brought into a presidential campaign.
