Sometimes, there is just nothing to say.
The '04 election really worked me into a tizzy. I've rarely posted since then and have basically taken a calm view of things, having realized that the hyperactive, speed-ridden devotion to any political cause is ultimately non-productive. Change, especially political change is gradual, and, I think, anyone devoted to it needs to settle in for the long haul.

From that perspective, the frenzy in the primaries forum this season has been entertaining. I almost wish I was young enough to still have that much zeal!

None of the democratic candidates have been satan reincarnate. Any of the candidates would be monumentally better than what we've experienced over the past 8 years.

This latest business was kind of a tipping point for me. The Bosnian sniper yarn put me off, because nobody likes a liar. Perhaps that tale was a mistake, and I thought anyone deserves a second chance. Mistakes do happen, and maybe some Bosnian child threw confetti and it looked like a bullet...

Hinting at the possible assassination of your opponent, however, goes beyond the pale. It's a foul implication, unworthy of a leader. I can't see trusting a person who would think along those lines just to "win."

When faced with that kind of mentality, there is just nothing to say. Vote your mind and let others stew in their own vile hatred.

3. It's a holiday, I look for next week to be very busy for supers.
Any super that declares for Obama this weekend deserves a truckload of respect for taking a stand without much press or many people watching.
