ABC news hit job on Obama because of Hillary's assasination comments

Ending the "smallness of our politics" is the stated mission of Barack Obama's White House run. In "The Audacity of Hope," Obama recalls how he softened his website's harsh rhetoric on abortion in 2004 after he received an email from a pro-life doctor.

"hat night, before I went to bed," wrote Obama, "I said a prayer of my own -- that I might extend the same presumption of good faith to others that the doctor had extended to me."

No such "presumption of good faith" was extended to Hillary Clinton on Friday.

When Clinton referenced RFK's assassination while discussing previous Democratic nomination fights which stretched into June, she was quickly scolded by the Obama campaign.

Every since the joke they called the Democratic Debate
was aired, I've stayed away from ABC News.

I've now come to see just how biased they are.
They have joined the ranks of Yellow Journalism.

Peter Jennings- how I miss him.
:(

He wouldn't have tolerated this crap for one second!

5. The Obama Campaign
Made a one sentence statement saying they didn't want to justify that kind of statement with a response and it has no place in the campaign.

When Obama makes commercials on it. Than they have a place to talk.

Fuck ABC.

"Senator Clinton's statement before the Argus Leader editorial board was unfortunate and has no place in this campaign," wrote Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton in a missive to reporters.

Burton's e-mail included a link to a New York Post story which noted that Obama, who received a Secret Service detail early in the campaign, has been the subject of threats.

9. WTF Is Obama supposed to do?
The woman suggested a valid reason for stayin in the race was because there was likelihood that Obama would get his brains blown out.

How the FUCK is he supposed to respond?

The man was reserved and gracious, which proves he's a far better man than I.

I would ahve reamed her a new one for suggesting I should be killed.

15. Actually laugh out loud funny
I know as a black woman that it is one of the truest statements I've ever read, but it makes me think of a Billy Bob Thorton line in a movie where he says something akin to:

I believe I have some slave in me.

What a delightfully interesting politically incorrect thing to say.

LMAO

12. Apparently ABC didn't read the official statement from Bill Burton.
It said that her comments were "unfortunate" (true) and they had "no place in this campaign" (also true).

Obama didn't stomp out onto the stage in a huff and declare "Shame on you, Hillary Clinton! Shame on you!"

This is the same network that brought us the flag pin/Pastor Wright debate...so I'm not surprised.

Whatta subhead. Hammers, huh? Did ABC repurpose a knitting and gardening board to their political beat? If Obama's reply has them climbing the drapes, they're gonna swallow their heads when the Republican machine gets revved up.

Or maybe not. Probably not. Melodramatic wankers.

(which his family got...which the Obama family did not) Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is a man I respect, who also happens to have been an early supporter of the Clinton Campaign. You're a little out of your element here...

Edited on Sat May-24-08 10:30 AM by Dancing bolt
He said nobody should be offended. And Hillary apologized not because she admitted that her intentions were evil, but because some people interpreted in a certain way.

In short, RFK Jr. does not share your view that Hillary should apologize to anyone.

44. He also said that he hadn't read a transcript
or seen the video of her remarks.

At any rate, for Hillary to use RFK's assassination as a justification to keep alive a campaign that has virtually no chance of winning and is tens of millions of dollars in the red -- with the implication that Obama could meet a fate similar to RFK -- is beyond the pale for me.
