Hillary had no problem blowing Obama's "bitter" comments out of proportion ...
The bottom line is that we don't know what was in Hillary's mind and heart when she made her comments. Maybe it was an innocent mistake. Maybe she's secretly hoping some Sirhan Sirhan takes Obama out- we just don't know.

But we DO know this- when Obama made his "bitter" remarks, Hillary milked them for everything they were worth and then a lot more. I recall her bemoaning to Pennsylvania voters how they needed a president who didn't "look down on them." She got Evan Bayh to pile on. That being the case, she is in NO position to complain if her terrible verbal blunder is portrayed in the worst light by some in the media.

1. This is the difference between them...Obama
is playing like the weak Democrats, a la John Kerry and Michael Dukakis. Instead of playing in the ring Hillary has created he thinks that by staying on the high road he will win. NOOOOOOO...he needs to start striking at that word that rhymes with rich (to paraphrase a good friend of the Clintons)....

That's one thing the Clintons do and do well...when they are down they strike like a rattlesnake..after all they are no better than slithering snakes.

Allowing Hillary to define him does not work for Obama.

6. Obama is WINNING the Dem Prez nomination
Obama is not attacking her like he is attacking McCain because he does not want the Dem Party fracturing any more than it is. Hillary's campaign is in a death spiral. The longer Hillary is in the primary battle the more she looks and acts desperate. It's best if the Media takes her apart for her verbal gaffes, instead of Obama.

Obama has to wait it out. Attacking Hillary directly will be met with attacks of sexism.

8. And that's why Hillary deserves to go down for this.
Even if she didn't technically mean "let's wait another month to see if Obama gets shot". I don't think she meant that for a second.

But:
-the "bitter" remarks
-the "you copied your speech" accusations
-the Rev Wright comments
-etc.

She hasn't missed an opportunity to twist words to make Obama look bad. Live by the sword...

And she won't even apologize! Think about it. Obama called a reporter "sweetie" and personally called her to apologize -- a REAL apology, not this "sorry if you were offended" crap.

And Hillary brings up assassination, in the context of "examples to illustrate why my campaign is going on", in a race where one of the obvious worries is violence against the first black candidate for president (or the first female candidate, or any candidate, for that matter).

And she can't bring herself to say "I apologize. I should not have said that. I'll ever say it again."

So call it poetic justice. Even if she "didn't mean it".
