I am amazed by the Hillary apologist
Ever since she realized back in early March that Obama was going to take the nomination Hillary Clinton’s long-term strategy has been to do her best to ensure McCain will win this November so she can become the Democratic nominee in 2012. But she had a short term strategy too and on Friday she deliberately made it explicit in a newspaper office in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. There she suggested that someone is likely to step up to the plate and assassinate Barack Obama in the waning moments of the California primary, just as Bobby Kennedy was forty years go almost to the day. The wish is mother to the deed. If anything does happen to Obama in California Mrs Clinton should surely be indicted as a co-conspirator.

especially over their outrage over "bitter Gate" and the "handshake snub" remember the Hill supporters greatest hits "he hates women" that one is my favorite, well here is great little piece on her "not a big deal assassination" remark you know where she implies "I need to stay in because Obama might get killed" thats what she was really saying you know that, right, Hill supporters

Death-Wish Hillary Primes Manchurian Candidate
By ALEXANDER COCKBURN

"How to else construe her grotesque remarks in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, in the editorial offices of the Argus Leader newspaper. Here she told the editors, "My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. I don't understand it," she said, dismissing calls to drop out."

snip//
To get added insight into what a truly nasty woman Hillary Clinton is, remember that her remarks on Friday came a couple of days after Edward Kennedy was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. Next thing you know, his fellow senator is saying that California might well be celebrating the fortieth anniversary of his brother’s murder by killing the candidate he has endorsed for the nomination

Breaking News: Hillary Clinton now thinks Karl Rove's a political genius

Today, Clinton began citing Rove as the ultimate expert on who was the strongest Democratic candidate in the Nov. 4 general. And we've got the exclusive maps below to prove it, all four confidential pages.

No, really!

Until very recently -- like suddenly this afternoon -- Karl Rove was to most Democrats the Great Satan, the political mastermind of two outrageously stunning Republican presidential victories by a Texas goofball governor and, before that, the unfortunate upset ousting of a popular Democratic governor named Ann Richards, as well as the overall rejuvenation of the Lone Star state GOP in statewide offices.

and actually using his tactics (as Axelrod does for Obama) are two very different things.

I have no doubt that Rove CAN make a better guess than most.

to turn Hillary into being percieved as a racist lunatic --and now recently --she's apparently Anegela Lansbury in the Manchurian Candidate.

Classic Rove.

He turned John Kerry into a coward and a flip-flopper.

He turned Gore into an effeminate liar.

He turned Howard Dean into a crazy, off his meds liberal.

Roveian tactics. Pure and simple. Make them the opposite of what they are.

I much prefer Hillary's types of attacks which stick to FACTS and not sly distortions.

43. What facts
like Tuzla, Nafta, Family Leave Act, or that Obama is an elitist, some one who just finished off paying student loans vs some who has reported over 100 million in income, or how about an't even work a coffee machine, or this doesn't know how to pump gas, or the panderer on the gas can't even find an economist to support her plan,

here is recent article on race baiting, read it if you have guts like you have implied

"What was once coded is now explicit. Clinton openly talks about her appeal among “working, hard working, white voters.” The implication here is that blacks are lazy, shiftless and on the welfare dole and that perhaps only half of their votes should count. But shouldn’t someone remind her that her husband dismantled welfare? Perhaps her former mentor Marian Wright Edelman should make the call."

"Coming from a Wellesley grad who just loaned her own campaign nearly $12 million, Hillary’s attempts to peg Obama as an elitist requires a degree of chutzpah that might make Alan Dershowitz tingle with envy. But when the Clintons tag Obama as an elitist, they don’t mean primarily that he is rich (which he is) but that he’s an “uppity nigger.”

snip//

"For the dull-witted, Clinton’s surrogates are sent out spell it out in capital letters. Obama used cocaine (Bob Johnson). Obama’s middle name is “Hussein” (Bob Kerrey). Obama is a master of “shuck and jive” (Andrew Cuomo). Obama is another Jesse Jackson (Bill Clinton). Obama’s story is a fairy tale (ditto). And, most recently, Geraldine Ferraro told the Los Angeles Times that Obama is a “sexist” (most black men are, right?) and she won’t vote for him if he is the nominee."

"To sum up: Obama is a drug abuser, a huckster, a secret Muslim, a con artist and a misogynist. And that’s without dragging Jeremiah Wright into the scenario."

50. I think that you're confusing two different things.
First, there are the things that candidates actually say. Hillary's mouth said that Robert Kennedy was assassinated in June, so she should stay in the primary race at least until then. You can spin that any way you choose.

Barack Obama has not said anything like that. So if you're comparing "things that Obama has said vs. things that Clinton has said," I'm not seeing much of a comparison.

Second, there are the things that anonymous posters say on an internet bulletin board. Geez. They say all kinds of stupid crap. If I held some of the posts made by supposed Obama supporters against Obama, I'd never support him! Same for Hillary.

To compare "things people say about Hillary" to "things that Hillary has actually said with her own mouth" and somehow say that that reflects poorly on Obama - well, that doesn't compute.

30. What an historically clueless and astoundingly irrelevant comment.
Did we only have thirteen primaries this year?

And two caucuses?

Did the party leadership assign the winners in the remaining states? Why NO, that is not what happened.

If you want to compare 68 to this election, we'll have to do it by the book, and add up those same primaries, eh?

I don't think you'd LIKE those numbers. Let's review those lucky thirteen, and see who won them this time around:

    California/Clinton
    Oregon/Obama
    Nebraska/Obama
    South Dakota--JUNE 3
    Wisconsin/Obama
    Illinois/Obama
    Indiana/Clinton
    Ohio/Clinton
    Pennsylvania/Clinton
    New Jersey/Clinton
    Massachusetts/Clinton
    New Hampshire/Clinton
    Florida/Clinton

57. Then again, there are some people one simply can't have a discussion with
because all they know how to do is ridicule and deride their opponents up and down with scorched-earth straw-man attacks, and then declare themselves victors of a logical, sound, reasoned argument.

Present company excepted, of course.

74. Post fifty nine sort of proves my point.
I just think that boasting about how one is essentially afraid of a competing opinion isn't a finest hour for anyone.

If people break DU rules, all that needs to be done is hit that ALERT button, and if they do it enough, they're gone.

And if people are baiting, stalking assholes, that IGNORE function is certainly useful. But exercising that function to the point where no dissent is permitted to squeak past? Why, that's, I think, a bit pathological. After all, this is a discussion board. Or it used to be, anyway. Now, it's closer to an echo chamber...

39. I'm no longer amazed by them. There is simply no craven, despicable low their Queen won't stoop to
that they won't scoop up and gobble down with a spoon - and then get angry when people point out that they are gobbling down rancid shit. They have forfeited the right to be taken seriously.

67. Yep - I've thought that for a while - the waves of postings on the
same lousy specious talking points, the mindless repetition of those same waves....Just like Government work....

Astroturfing at it's finest.

73. Nah, I don't think so at all. This is a common phenomenon.
Guaranteed, you can find the same sort of behavior in mac vs. PC debates and all sorts of other things. I must have spent 10% of my adult life arguing politics with people in my spare time for a grand total $0 in earnings from political writing. Why? Don't know, can't help it.
