LTTE from a Hillary supporter
Keep fighting, Hillary

If it ends up that Barack Obama is the Democratic nominee for president, the party will call on all of Hillary Clinton’s supporters to do the “right thing” and put their support behind Obama.

Why should we? Hillary has been ridiculed, smeared, treated like a dog and finally thrown to the wolves. If you are a woman, you should be outraged. If you are a Democrat you should be ashamed of your party. If you are someone who really loves this country, you should flood the offices of the media moguls and the political analysts with letters and e-mails telling them you oppose the way they have shown disrespect to an American hero.

Hillary had the guts to stand up to Big Oil, the health-care industry and the good ol’ boys club. She took that stand, knowing full well that it could possibly cost her the nomination. She is our voice, and we have all but let our party silence that voice.

I am calling on all Hillary supporters to let the Democratic Party know how we feel by voting for John McCain if Hillary is not the nominee.

Marcia Leibold

Missouri and Kansas, though the one in Missouri is larger and is usually what is meant. However Kansas City Kansas is actually a legitimate city as the third largest city in Kansas.

17. So you are willing to vote for a third Bush term just because your feelings are hurt...
over your perception of the way Clinton has been treated? That just doesn't make any sense. Isn't the welfare of our country more important that how any one candidate may or may not have been treated in this campaign?

Hillary never "stood up" to power in her life.

She had this nomination in the bag. Name recognition, money, a campaign organization that was praised by all in punditland. Now its all turned to crapola and the faithful can't accept that it was all bullshit from the start. She really lacks any kind of moral honesty and it shows.

I feel sorry for those who have invested so much psychic energy in a phony.

To me Obama is still somewhat of an unknown quantity. But in this case the known is so horribly unqualified I'm more than willing to take the risk.

i thought she was not as good a candidate as Obama, in part because she began saying ridiculous things with too much frequency.

there is no way that is sexist. my change of mind was not against women and i'm frustrated that i can't simply be against Hillary and it be a strike or offense against women.

31. Awful
To vote for McCain instead of the democratic nominee which will be Senator Obama is cutting your nose off to spite your face. These people sound like spoiled brats and would risk the SCOTUS, more war and a worsening economy because their chosen candidate isn't winning.

This primary season has made democrats look at the dirty dark secrets hidden in a closet. There has been sexism in the race but some of the claims of Hillary supporters are just plain stupid. I am sick and tired of hearing threats of not voting for the nominee or we had better be nice to them because we need them. Have they not considered the country needs them to do the right thing?

According to the pundits I should be a Hillary supporter. I am a white woman over 50 although I have a college degree. I never supported her and when I read letters like the one posted it turns my stomach. I remember fighting the system and we sure in hell didn't whine.

IMHO, there has been a lot more racism in this silly season. White voters have admitted the reason they will not vote for Obama is because he is black. It's been difficult learning how back wards the country still is. Senator Obama has handles the basest criticisms with grace and dignity. No wagging fingers nor boo hooing about the mean old press. Before he won Iowa, people were questioning if he was black enough. No one has ever asked me if I were Irish enough.

It's too bad that people like Liebold fantasize they are democrats, they aren't.

The posts insulting people like her only prove how blindsided some of you are about a guy who plenty consider undeserving of the presidency.
