If Hillary used the N-word to attack Obama....
Edited on Sat May-24-08 08:37 PM by TLM

how many of her rabid supporters here on DU would defend it?

I look at her supporters and see the ridiculous contortions of logic and outright disregard for facts on video and in print, regarding Clinton's repeated references to RFK's assassination as a justification for her remaining in this primary, despite being so far behind by ever measure, save for perhaps ego and arrogance.

What exactly would she have to do in order for the true believers to question her viability?

Hillary invokes the specter of assassination as a rational for remaining in this race, and when called on her crass and disgusting behavior, her supporters cry sexism and blame obama.

So far the only person who has given hillary a much UNdeserved pass on this, is Obama. Yet her followers blame him and his campaign for her repeated an seemingly unending fuck ups.

So I wonder, if Hillary called Obama a n-word... would her followers here defend it?

1. It's too bad the answer to that question isn't obvious....
But in any case, there's no real need to go borrowing trouble - there's enough on the plate as it is.

6. not looking to stir it up.....

She's already shit the bed, so to speak.

I just really wonder how far she could go before her die hards would say, that's too far.

I started out supporting Hillary, but in the CA debates, I was so impressed by obama and so disappointed by her, I voted obama.

Since then she has gotten worse and worse and more disgusting and lower than I thought she could.

Now this… citing assassination as a justification for staying in this race.

There is no excuse, none.

9. Why, thank you.

The absurdity of the question illustrates the hyperbole being used in this foot-in-mouth episode.

8. You think it is OK to cite the possibility of assassination as a reason for staying in the race

So would you defend her use of the N-word or not?

What would be too much for you to rationalize and defend as acceptable behavior from Hillary.

Can you even conceptualize the possibility of her doing something you wouldn’t try to defend?

22. Your personal attacks aside.... why not simply answer the question?

To act as if asking the question of how far Hillary has to go before her followers would reject her words and actions, is somehow insane or idiotic, is in fact a poor and transparent means of deflection.

Why are her supporters afraid to say NO, they would not defend her if she used the n-word to attack Obama?

23. which makes me wonder... is it more about supporting hillary or hating Obama....

Is this behavior born of a mentality that tells them anything used to attack Obama is OK, or more that anything Hillary says or does can not be wrong?

27. Again personal insults from hillary clones.... and yet still no answer.

How far would she have to go before you would say, that's unacceptable?

Or would you just continue your current pattern of defending her and attacking posters who don't follow hillary, with insults and personal attacks?

HILLBOT #1: Oh come on!! Anyone with an ear can tell that she clearly said Tigger Hillary is a bigtime Winnie the Pooh fan, God Bless her!!!

HILLBOT #2: No, she said nigga which is different from the uh, "N-word" and she can say that, because she's putting out her "Gangsta Hillary" rap album next week.

HILLBOT #3 (from the HILLARY HATE forum): So? That's what he is, so what's the problem?

HILLBOT #4: Who cares! Some Obama supporter called Hillary a "bitch" three months ago, and that justifies ANYTHING that Hillary ever says about Barry Hussain Osama !!111!!!

It boggles the mind that people are actually defending what Clinton said about RFK.

26. And a week ago had I asked about Hillary citing assassination as a reason to say in the race....

would that also have been moronic?

If I asked if her supporters would defend her saying she'll stay in the race because their could be an RFK type assassination late in the primary race, I bet her followers would ave accused me of being outrageous, idiotic, and insane... just as they did in this thread.

SO what's next?

What is the next hateful, crass, monstrously disconnected attack hillary will make... and her followers will mindlessly defend?

25. So is that a yes or a no...... it s a simple question really.

I'd expect any rational person supporting hillary, if that's not a clear contradiction in terms at this point, to simply say no. No they would rebuke and reject her using the n-word to attack Obama.

However instead of provide this answer... they attack me for daring to ask.

Which makes the original question ever so much more significant in the face of the evasive and deflective responses.

30. Try reading what I wrote, instead of arguing against what you made up...

I said nothing about supporters defending the words of other supporters, nor did I say anything about Hillary supporters using the n-word to attack Obama.

I asked a simple question... if hillary did use the n-word to attack Obama, would her followers defend it they way they are defending her for citing potential assassination as a reason for her to stay in the race.

So far, not one of her followers has answered with a simple "no."
