2. well we are down to 53 but then a funny thing happened in AK
Edited on Sat May-24-08 10:27 PM by grantcart
and a their caucus delegates got together and it appears that their percentage went from 74.6 to 77 and that would mean that Obama picks up another. Now can anybody imagine what story in the news might have moved a some Clinton delegates to move to Obama?

From demconwatch

Update: Remember, Alaska is a caucus state, and it looks like Obama might pick up a second Pledged State-wide PLEO, making the split 2-0, instead of 1-1, as his share of state-wide delegates seems to have gone from 74.6% to 77%.

6. a funny thing happened to the SDs though
they stopped moving

all we are getting are add on delegates.

It is clear that something has been scripted and I suspect that they are just going to keep adding the add ons but stop with the super delegates. With the primaries on June 3rd they will clinch the nomination and wait a couple of days for Hillary to suspend and then if she doesn't an avalanche will come forth.

Of course that's all speculative BS but it is clear that they have something going on.

10. Question?

Would the date June 5, have a lot of relevance?
I think it would historically fitting if he reached
the magic number on that day.

19. Preview tomorrow is a big day in Hawaii - 3 delegates think we have a chance?
http://demconwatch.blogspot.com/

Sunday. May 25, Hawaii Democrats hold their State Convention, followed by a meeting of the State Central Committee, at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort in Waikiki, and name their add-on, and also select a new state party chair and vice-chair, both of whom immediately become superdelegates. Obama won the Hawaii Caucuses. Candidates for the Chair position are Annelle Amaral and Brian Schatz. Schatz is a former member of Obama's campaign in Hawaii, and has been endorsed by Obama. Amaral is a Clinton supporter but has committed to voting for Obama at the convention. In addition, Obama has endorsed James Burns, former chief judge of the state Intermediate Court of Appeals, for the add-on position.

So they compromise and pick a Clinton supporter but she promises to vote for Obama.

20. O needs 52 out of 290, C needs 246 of of 290
John Edwards still has 7

'Course these numbers will probably all change next weekend, depending on how FL/MI gets resolved... but we won't know until then

I think the SD's are waiting till after next weekend to see what happens with FL & MI, then everybody will be able to work with real numbers instead of suppositions. We know that _something_ is going to get worked out so the 2025 number will change as will the number of delegates still needed for a majority.
