6. Not true!
I heard someone say in a post here that Countdown was sexist hate speech, and how everyone they know had stopped watching it forever.

So obviously, these numbers were doctored.

due to the large numbers of TVs in bars, restaurants, quickie-lubes & nursing homes tunes to POX News with nobody watching. Now that KO's numbers have overcome all these 'zombie' boob tubes, I say...

23. Exactly!
That's why they offer it on basic cable. Murdoch takes the hit on revenue in order to pump it in free and spread his message.

I've seen it in bars, restaurants, car dealerships, dunkin donuts, airports, all over the place.

and rooting for O'Reilly. It's upside down world these days. Keith may have lost some disgruntled Hillary supporters, but it looks like he's making up for it elsewhere. Which is why all the "pot banging" in the world won't initimidate him. If he wasn't intimidated by the bullies in the White House, he's certainly not gonna be silenced by a few nuts banging pots & pans.

p.s.: It looks like Tweety's outperforming his rivals as well. Now if we could get Rachel into Dan Abrams spot, I think MSNBC would be one helluva competitor. And Glen Beck's numbers are awful, why is he still on the teevee?

24. Advertisers care more about 25-54
What's telling is that O'Really's (and FAUX's) ratings really skyrocket outside that demographic. Since I highly doubt many teenagers are watching "The Factor," that would mean they're raking in the AARP demographic.

Not ripping on seniors here. Far from it. But in modern-day media, advertisers don't give a rip about people over 60. That's why oldies radio stations don't play 50s tunes anymore, and why we don't hear Elvis or Frank Sinatra on the radio anymore either. Agencies just plain don't like aiming for older demos. Therefore, 25-54 is the key number, and "Countdown" has been very competitive with O'Reilly. Occasionally, Olbermann tops O'Reilly in the ratings, and the growth over the last few years has been very impressive.

29. Exactly, the 25-54 age group is advertisers key demographic
They are seen as having the most "desposable income" ergo most likely to purchase their products.
