OUTRAGED RFK KIN SAY HILL'S NOW TOAST
Edited on Sun May-25-08 07:32 AM by livingmadness
The New York Post is reporting that not all members of Robert Kennedy's family have excused Clinton's recent 'mis-speak'. According to one Kennedy relative "That comment may be the last nail in her (Hillary's) campaign's coffin". Interestingly the family members are not named, so make of that what you will.

Full story here.

2. I imagine at the Clinton campaign they're praying the
big-named Kennedy's don't start talking. If they do ... well, big, BIG trouble. Actually I hope they don't. This un-named piece is probably enough to send the campaign the message. Stay in if you must, but clean up your act! Oops, ok that's my message. Capiche?

8. Good point!
Ted Kennedy could single-handedly end Hillary's political career if he wanted to, so she better hope he wasn't offended by his statement. Could you imagine the scene of him leaving the hospital after a follow-up visit wearily walking toward a press conference to condemn Hillary's statement?

Reading comprehension is your friend. The fact still remains that Hillary's political outcome of this gaffe rests in the hands of the Kennedys. She's lucky that they have decided to pardon her on this gaffe or remain silent.

10. RFK Jr responded on the same day, saying he saw no
menace in her comments (or words to that effect), however he hadn't actually heard them himself. Given that was his initial response, I can't see him abandoning his support of Clinton. Its the Obama backing Kennedy's that would worry the Clinton's more. But their hands are full, so I imagine they'll keep silent on this one.

If they have been making pro-Clinton noises, it wouldn't surprise me to
hear that they have been doing it at the behest of the RNC whose calculations
at the time told them she would be the weakest Democratic candidate. If they
now turn on her, it just means they have changed their minds. Murdoch would
sooner return to the Outback and commune with the kangaroos than see a Democrat
in the White House.

45. Typical jerkoff style take on things
I am not a Hillary supporter, and have hated Murdoch since before he ever
took over Fox in the 1990s. As far as I am concerned, he has always been evil
trash, and if he suddenly says either Obama or Hillary is God, my opinion of
him will not change.

My opinion of Murdoch has remained constant for nearly two decades, and is has
nothing to do with the current campaign.

Good thing "get a life" is not enforceable in a court of law, or there would be
a lot felons hanging around this board. Go attack your enemies and leave your
friends alone.

21. I disagree.
I think the issue is better dropped.

Seriously, it was a tasteless remark, but the larger issue is that some whackjob might think "hey great idea". Continuing to talk about it just keeps reminding the whackjobs.

I'd rather see lots of stories about how excellent and impenetrable Obama's security detail is.

And I'm sure the Kennedy's are already aware of who Clinton is. They don't need to wallow in this crap. But I wouldn't be surprised if there are some heavy discussions with superdelegates going on.

The supers is what I don't get. There have been too many foot-in-mouth moments for Clinton. There must be some serious fear of the Clintons in certain quarters, if they aren't all moving as fast as possible to shut down her campaign.

it is difficult to know what she's thinking, except I read in a book by Dick Morris once (not that I particularly care for his antics either) that "Hillary has a way of creating her own reality (to fit her ambition and view of her own importance).

So, it comes down to character, which sounds trite but which is true, in the end.

RFK, Jr. can have his feelings but they don't trump other siblings and cousins and they certainly don't trump David, who saw his father killed on TV and died years later from drug abuse they attribute directly to that moment. there are a few that reference Hillary's coffin and here tombstone. And no, I don't exaggerate much, just call it like I see it.

98. Blatant disregard for DU forum rules...
"Do not post personal attacks or engage in name-calling against other individual members of this discussion board. Even very mild personal attacks are forbidden."

"Do not publicly accuse another member of this message board of being a disruptor, conservative, Republican, FReeper, or troll, or do not otherwise imply they are not welcome on Democratic Underground."

"Do not draw negative attention to the fact that someone is new, has a low post count, or recently became a member of Democratic Underground. Do not insinuate that because someone is new, they are a troll or disruptor."

55. Hillary should realize this is the price you pay for opening pandora's box.
After cozying up to the likes of Richard Mellon Scaiffe and Rupert Murdoch, today we have the NY Post continuing to roast her and Chris Wallace, of the Faux News channel that Clinton and her surrogates thinks is so "fair and balanced," handing Terry MacAuliffe's ass to him.

Clinton is only reaping what she has sown. There is a price to pay for dancing with the devil and a zebra doesn't change its stripes.

93. Well, maybe that's not a good choice of words.
But Terry clearly came on Faux to spout the Clinton campaign's talking points freely without rebuttal and seemed stunned when smirky Chris Wallace began to challenge him on all his ridiculous claims.

This is all a game to these wing-nuts and Hillary really thinks she can buy their support and loyalty.

wrote down all the reasons bringing up RFK's assassination in JUNE had fuck all to do with why she's dragging her ass.

I bet this pissed off hilary..

"In a radio interview yesterday in Puerto Rico, Obama said that he had accepted the apology Clinton issued Friday and that her comment about RFK was just "careless."

Yeah, hilary's CARELESS all right.
