The most interesting point in Hillary's Op-Ed is that even she cannot bear to repeat her own words

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/2008/05/25/2008-05-25_hillary_why_i_continue_to_run.html?page=0

I made clear that I was - and that I thought the urgency to end the 2008 primary process was unprecedented. I pointed out, as I have before, that both my husband's primary campaign, and Sen. Robert Kennedy's, had continued into June.

Almost immediately, some took my comments entirely out of context and interpreted them to mean something completely different - and completely unthinkable

She cannot bear to use the word that unleashed the volacano of disapprobation. You know, the word that starts with "A".

Once again I believe she is aappealing to the uninformed. The tenor of her column is that she simply mentioned RFK's name and people ran with it and took in in a direction she never meant. The informed would realize that their thoughts went exactly where she meant them to go, as she had used flashing lights and directionals and jersey barriers to get them to go that way with her use of the word "assasination".

Because she is unable to quote herself accurately, I believe that she has in fact, rejected and denounced herself.

1. Also, the fact that Terry McAwful used almost the same exact pharasiology
only a week or so before makes this a discussion that campaign had. During a "roundtable" meeting of her people, this came up and was discussed, not a doubt in my mind.

18. Although "pharisee-ology" is perfectly apt, as well.
You weren't far off at all!

3. She better never use that word again or people will be demonstrating
outside the DNC for a whole new reason.

4. And that exact meme is being repeated here today.
Numerous threads and posts attempt to rewrite history with the claim that "all she did was say that other nominations weren't decided until June."

10. She has a "tell"
She does something when she's about to lob a big one. She pauses and then get's a look like "here it comes" before she unleashes.

She did it in the debate with "slumlord Rezco" and she also did it in another debate when Ayers came up. I think she had the same tell before she talked about RFK.

It's extremely calculated to me. She knows exactly what she is saying and why she is saying it.

5. There are ways for her to express deep regret without repeating those literal words
I'm not commenting on whether or not Clinton has adaquately expressed regret, just saying that I have no problem with her not repeating those literal words in an apology, she never should have spoken them to begin with.

15. Next she will be denying she ever used that exact phrase
or MacAuliffe will deny it. Remember that they are shameless and that they appeal to the "low information" voter.

Just another opportunity for Hillary (and Bill) to paint her as the victim.
