Why do people still think she'd do the right thing?

She has no integrity. This is going all the way to the convention.

9. Couple of weeks....
if she tries to take it to the convention, things will get too surreal. It's bad enough now. Somebody will convince her she will damage herself, the party, Obama. She doesn't want all that on her head.

21. Never. She's taking her caravan of flaming bullshit all the way to the convention.
And there's nothing sane people can do about it.

I wish I was wrong, but I fear I'm not. Just look at the talking points being spewed by McAuliffe, etc. on tv, along with her most ardent goobers here.

She's not going anywhere. I suspect she wanted the VP slot, isn't getting it, and now she's fully prepared to raise holy spoiled brat hell for the next few months.

31. She won't. After Obama receives the formal nomination, she will unleash a boatload of lawyers
in an attempt to sue her way to the nomination. She won't win - and knows this - but the whole attempt will be to weaken Obama so that McCain will win, and give her another crack at it in 2012.

Obama will win, and stage two with Hillary's lawyers will ensue. She will argue to the courts that since somehow the nomination was "stolen" from her, the Democratic nomination was really hers. Further, she will claim that that makes her the "rightful" winner of the election, and that Obama was just a "stand-in" in lieu of the "rightful" nominee; hence, she will argue, she is the one who should be sworn in on January 20, 2009.

After Obama is sworn in she will continue to insist that she is the rightful President of the United States, and will try to sow a "we wuz robbed" mentality among Democrats. She may even write a book with that theme.

Sound fanciful? Perhaps - and I composed this sorta tongue in cheek. But if you'd told me a year ago that a Democratic candidate for President was going to run a racist campaign against an African-American, and that that same candidate would further dog-whistle to the Hate Vote about holding out hope that that same rival might be assassinated, I'd say you were not only being fanciful, but living on a different planet. That's what the Clinton's have done to decency in our Party: shown they don't have any.

40. Good post. I was going to say post-convention, but you convinced me otherwise.
I'm at the point now where I'll consider her relatively reasonable if she surrenders at the convention. Guess I better not get my hopes up.
