Transformation...
...We have been asked to take sides. Most of us have chosen our side, and being the good Democrats that we are, we have been fighting for our chosen sides like the bulldogs that we are. Whether it's Obama, or Clinton, they are both lucky to have us.

However, the fighting for our chosen sides has been going on much longer than usual. At this point we have been reduced to name calling, angry outburst, repeating lies and hate from the MSM and lies from (god forbid) Free Republic, Drudge Report etc. We have adopted less than admirable scrupples... we have even chosen to forget all of the math skills we learned as children in order to adopt a more agreeable politic' math. All of these actions are a sign of our tenacity and adaptability in one since... but what they also are, in another sense, are signs of transformation.

There have been many great causes throughout history that have been transformed into something less through the power of greed, hate, anger and resentment. I wanted to say here that I am seeing this (not so good) transformation occurring here in this forum. We are the 'Grass Roots' folks... we are the idea disseminators, the drivers of change. What are we driving at this moment, what are we changing, what are we teaching the voters, that usually do not vote with us, about us? How and what are we transforming?

Yes, transformation can work both ways... I have seen many people with strong democratic values transform them selves into resentful John McCain voters (unless they get their candidate of course). What we are seeing can be long lasting. The damage that we are doing can take years, decades, even lifetimes to transform back into something more progressive.

I wanted to end this op with a nice positive 'bow' tied around it... except honestly, it feels a bit phony and all you people reading this, I am certain, are able to get my drift. Thanks for listening, and good luck.

:hi:
