Muddying the waters....
I've been trying to put my finger on the exact phrase to describe what the Clinton campaign has been doing for the past few months and I finally got it tonight:

muddying the waters.

Just look around DU for loads of examples. (It's not just DU, of course.) As long as they can keep things churned up, keep muddying everything with their non-logic, baseless arguments (it doesn't matter what the argument is, what matters is keeping things clouded), then that makes them happy, because there's no way she can win anyway.

Now for some clearer waters:

Obama is the better candidate, which is why he has won this primary. He ran a better, stronger campaign in the primary and will do so again in the general election season.

Republicans are on the outs with so many Americans (I live in Texas, believe me, I see it every day), and Democrats are prime to take the White House and more seats in Congress. With Obama, we'll be able to do this.
