Hillary's latest delusion: It's Obama's Fault
Delusion reigns supreme in the Clinton camp these days. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any stranger, Terry McAuliffe appeared today on Fox News Sunday and blamed the Obama campaign for Hillary’s remarks about Bobby Kennedy. Yes, you read that right, it’s Obama’s fault.

Here it is from the Washington Post:

"Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign accused Sen. Barack Obama's campaign of fanning a controversy over her describing the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy late in the 1968 Democratic primary as one reason she is continuing to run for the presidency

The Obama campaign tried to take these words out of context," Clinton campaign chairman Terence R. McAuliffe said on "Fox News Sunday." "She was making a point merely about the time line."

Ah yes, the dreaded out of context. The last refuge of someone trying to defend an indefensible statement. Tell me Terry, exactly what would be the proper context in referring to the assassination of a presidential candidate? Just curious.

And about that time line, I think that was debunked in my earlier post today. Nice try Terry.

McAuliffe then added this about the statement released by Robert Kennedy Jr.:

"If Robert F. Kennedy Jr. doesn't find offense to it, why is it that everybody else should?" McAuliffe said. "They shouldn't. They ought to take Robert F. Kennedy Jr. -- he did not misinterpret it or misjudge it."

What did you think the Kennedy family would say, Terry? Somebody has to show some class in this train wreck, and it sure isn’t going to be anyone in the Clinton campaign.

McAuliffe then rambled on with the usual Clinton drivel. Florida, blah blah blah, Michigan, blah blah blah, count every vote, blah blah blah. Yawn.

Got that Barack, it’s your fault. I believe you owe the lady an apology. While you’re at it, apologize for kicking her behind from sea to shining sea. She deserves that much.

1. Ah, The Emperor's New Gaffe!
Edited on Mon May-26-08 10:16 AM by Perry Logan
Go to this site:
http://www.correntewire.com/obama_golf

to play OBAMA GOLF!

The rules are simple, and any number can play. To win, change an innocuous Hillary statement into a wankfest-worthy statement in the fewest number of strokes:

Hillary says “We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California.”

0. “Assassinated”

1. Black leaders have been assassinated

2. Obama is a black leader

3. She was talking about assassinating Obama

Three strokes, total. (“Teeing up” the initial trigger word does not count as a stroke).

The first player/team takes quote out of any statement by Hillary (or Bill, any campaign staff member, prominent supporter or anyone else you deem worthy of defamation and vilification) and the second player/team has to transmogrify it to an offensive statement or slur about Barack Obama in the fewest possible number of strokes.

The first “stroke” must have a semi-logical connection to the “tee” and each successive stroke must do the same to the stroke immediately preceding it

After an agreed upon number of turns, the player/team with the lowest score wins that round.

Let’s try another example:

“Buenas noches! It is wonderful to be here,” Sen. Hillary Clinton said this evening after touching down in Puerto Rico.

0. Buenas noches

1. Spanish for “good night”

2. Night is dark

3. “Darkie” is a racial slur used to refer to blacks

4. Obama is black

5. Hillary was dogwhistling a racial slur directed at Obama.

Five strokes.

See how easy it is?
And here's a four-stroker I did myself:

Hillary says, "I'm Hillary Clinton."

1. Clinton is the name of a President.
2. Lincoln was a President.
3. Lincoln was assassinated.
4. Once again, Hillary has raised the specter of assassination in her ruthless pursuit of power.

Now let the wankfest begin...

7. On MSNBC's Morning Joe a Clinton Surrogate blamed Obama's Camp
for the quote making it to the NY POST, even though it was already reported that the Media Outlets were all paying attention to this streaming interview, that Hillbilly was giving.

The press corp that was traveling with Hillbilly, had a bad connection and didn't get to see the interview, but right after it ended, all their cell phones started ringing, calling to ask them about the comment she had made.

This is another pathetic attempt to try and Blame Obama for her stoopidity! I am sure certain people will fall for it, more kool-aid anyone, it's your favorite Grape!

Or just flip to Huffington post, BenSmith's Politico Blog, Halperin's ThePage, DailyKos... It's really not hard to find the truth if you care to hear it. Of course that's what we've been saying about Bush Supporters for years.

5. McAuliffe is correct, of course. The Obama campaign is in fact to
blame for what Senator Clinton said, as several of his higher-placed operatives are well-known as having telepathic and kinetic gifts which exceed the normal human range in the sensorium. They've done tests on these people and although the mainstream media doesn't like to talk about psychic mind control via political ventriloquism, it is NEVERTHELESS true and we should all be wary of it.

10. Actually, Obama IS the one who sent it to the media.
Both CNN and MSNBC reported that tidbit. While pretending to take the appropriate angle by saying in front of the camera it is not an issue, he secretly sends e-mails and videos attempting to distort and twist and get the media to blow it up...which of course they do.

15. And the reporting you are talking about
Was the unsupported opinion of John Harris at Politico - a Hillary supporting, Washington based paper - and of Lynn Sweet on MSNBC. Of sources, for their fantasies not a word

22. I read and article on DU yesterday that all the Media Outlets
Edited on Mon May-26-08 12:13 PM by Heather MC
were watching the interview on live on streaming video.
Obama's camp may have sent something to the NY Post, but they already new she said it.

The press corp the travels with Hillbilly, had a bad connection but they all said right after the interiew their cell phones and pagers were blowing up.

And by the way the only people reporting that Obama's camp did this are Hillbot people, not the actual media, so yes you heard it on CNN, and MSNBC but who said it?

I am sure I read this in DU journals so you are welcome to sift through the sea of journals to find it again
