7. It is. But it's DR (Dominican Republic) beer.
Puerto Rico must have some locally brewed beer... don't know what it is offhand.

8. San Miquel?
But I think that's Phillipino.

I've only had Presidente in the Dominican. You're right, I assume there's a local brew in PR.

10. Yes, San Miquel is Phillipino. Another excellent brew.
Presidente can be obtained in NYC. It's widely available there. But there are also lots of Dominicans in NYC!

15. Your husband is very wise!
I recently had the same conversation with a bartender.

She had served me a number of Rolling Rocks the previous evening, but I was finding that I just no longer enjoyed it. (Same with Budwieser, a truly awful beer!)

So when I appeared again the following evening, she greeted me and said "Rolling Rock, right?" and I said "No no! Please give me something good." I ended up drinking Beck's that night. I also tried to persuade her to add Sam Adams Summer Ale to the menu.

36. The reason Rolling Rock is no good anymore
Is because Anheuser Busch bought them out in 2006. Let's hope they never get their hands on Sam Adams, which is about the only nationally distributed beer I can drink anymore. Usually stick to the regional microbrews.

16. I find it unseemly to see a Presidential candidate so
enthusiastic over consuming liquor in public. I admit, I am mostly a teetotaler (I'm diabetic--I have other uses for my very limited carbs, like chocolate) but I don't understand how this could possibly be seen in a positive light for any candidate--male or female, black or white, republican or Democratic.

17. Obama has been photographed drinking at least three times during this campaign
If you had any illusion you could use this to make Hillary look as if she had some moral defect which Obama doesn't share.

23. That was not my intention at all
I said that it was unseemly no matter what candidate it was. Although I hadn't seen pictures of BO drinking, if he was doing it with such enthusiasm, I would still find it alarming. These are sober times, our country is rapidly falling into a sh&*hole and I want to know that the candidate I vote for is up to the challenges that are before us. Somehow, I don't get that impression if the best they can offer is "I'm one of you and to prove it let's have a few beers." And by the way, I am not talking about having a drink in the hand-I am upset that the beer, in this case, is the central focus of the activity.

35. It may be just that--I am not opposed to people drinking responsibly
In fact I am not against partying as long as it's adults and no one is going to drive drunk or get into a brawl. It just doesn't seem right for a candidate to exhibit that much frivolity when the country is in such bad shape. It also is too much of a reminder of "who would you rather have a beer with" What a shameful campaign motto that was.

32. Jeepers. Maybe you should get a beer too. The point is she's faking it.
Do you really think Hillary likes to chug lager at the end of the day? I'm pretty sure she prefers to sip on a nice chardonnay, but since she's called Obama out as an 'elitist' her new thing is to be a rooting tooting beer drinker.

and where the hell were you when Obama was bowling? Were you complaining of 'faking' then?

I only see attacks on this thread...nothing resembling an argument. More hostile, ugly attacks.

You are actually commenting on her teeth. Good God.
