At first I thought it was going to be the Huckster, but it doesn't seem like that's what McSame wants. My dad, who has a pretty sound ear for these things recently sent me an E-mail saying that McCain had a short-list day last week, where he invited out his three primary contenders, and they were:

"he invited guests are Mitt Romney; the Gov of Florida, Crist; and the Gov. of Louisiana (name escapes me)"

he would be a bad match here ... He really does nothing to help the ticket, he just is the non white male flavor of the month for these clowns to fool themselves into believing they have diversity ...

I think Romney's appeal is the money ... But, he has the same weaknesses as McCain - not a guy the party as a whole loves and the religious right doesn't trust him ...

I think if it IS a final three of those two and Crist, Crist is the choice ... As noted, really helps to lock up Florida and is a guy who is MUCH more main line R ...
