Everybody thinks they just bought the winning lottery ticket...
So it is with the Hillary supporters and the Obama supporters. Both think only their candidate can win the Presidency. The other candidate will lose for one reason or another. She has too many negatives left over from the 1st Clinton Administration. He has little experience and the white working people will not vote for him, etc. Supporters on both sides think their candidate is the best person to beat John McCain and the Repubs in November.

However, what would happen if someone could show that both candidates will lose the general election in November? What would we do then? Would we still stick with our candidate? Yes, we would. Even if we knew they would lose in November, we will stick with our candidate. Even after we scratch the lottery ticket and find out once again, that it is not a winner, we still believe we will hit the winning ticket in November.

So, would you trade your present choice for one that could be guaranteed to win the election? No! They may be a damn loser but they are our damn losers! Even if the Repubs take control for four more unpredictable and dangerous years, we will stick with our "loser". Thank you very much!

2. True Enough
but we'd still be in the crapper, going round and round and down. Not one of the three major candidates has a plan, let alone a clue, as to what it's going to take to straighten out this economy. None of them have the leadership to tell the truth. To tell us what is wrong and what it's going to take to straighten out this mess.

This country needs leadership, not pandering. We need a realistic look at what we can do and what needs to be dropped. The leader we need will have to have a deaf ear for the howls and screams that come out of Washington and be able to listen to realistic solutions to the problems we face.

3. Go ahead, Ace. Show me that both candidates will lose the general election in November.
Should be fascinating stuff.

Keep in mind that Hillary was the clear, prohibitive favorite a mere 6 months ago. We still have 6 months to the general and there's no clear favorite.

5. Improbably as it may seem, I still hold hope out for a Unity Ticket.
It's been a couple of brutal, grueling months since I posted this. But I still believe it.

7. It's not about winning the lotto......
It is about much more than that.

I don't gamble.

8. I could make a case for the LOTTO with the young charismatic black Senator you prefer...
with almost any other VP candidate.

I also don't gamble... are you suggesting that BHO and ANYBODY is strong enough to overcome his drawbacks? I guess that's what your driving at.

Sorry, but I'm not going to bother. Too saddened about tonight's loss of the fabulous Sydney Pollack, director, producer, actor, at age 73 of cancer -- RIP.

Cordially,

Radio Lady
