*gender neutral "guys"

And the sigh of relief when we can focus on that.

1. I'm not a gender neutral guy! I take offense!!!
Ok, not really.

But yah - I'm looking forward to it too. His preparation is gonna be over the top, I expect. And McCain's a not-too-bright one-trick pony, so the difference should be HUGE.

3. It'll be interesting to see if Obama "pokes the bear"...
McCain has a reputation for losing his temper. How nice would it be to have him lose it in a nationally televised debate?

We were spoiled with the plethora of debates in the run-up to the primaries.

6. Will McCain be allowed to have Turncoat Joe at his elbow there too?
Or will the rules be all unfair 'n stuff and make McCain answer the questions? Poor John. He will sure look sad out there without his trainer.

9. I don't believe 'unmoderated' debates will ever happen
Not long ago, McNasty was spoiling for a fight, saying he'd debate Barack Obama - unmoderated - anytime, anywhere. Obama's campaign responded, saying, 'OK, let's do it!' Nothing but the sound of crickets from McNasty's camp in the meantime. They know it would be a debacle of biblical proportions.

All kidding aside, that could be a hilarious SNL skit.

Obama won't have Clinton or Edwards to give him his answers. He'll be on his own against McCain. He'll have to be very well rehearsed on his talking points and if he's in a casual interview setting, he'll be stuttering like crazy.

Obama has ALWAYS been weak in the debate format because he's so weak on issues.

23. You know what made me giddy?
Watching McCain's lame and uninspiring "denouncing" of Hagee's hate speech. All I could think about was how sophomoric McCain was in the shadow of the depth and eloquence that Obama spoke from/with. At that moment I realized that unless the republicans can pull off double the electoral fraud than their recent past, this could be a real blow-out for Obama.

28. The Republicans know their goose is cooked. Burnt to a crisp!
Edited on Tue May-27-08 08:32 PM by Catherina
Dean and other people who care are covering all their bases this time too.

Last night I was thinking about the curious timing of the movie Recount. They had 8 years to make it. Why now? I'm glad they did because it's going to get enough people's blood boiling to keep an eagle-sharp eye on election fraud this election.

Also Ken Mehlman announced they were going to go for the Black vote in 2008 because even a 12% increase would tip them over. It's not just Obama who's playing this game brilliantly. He's gonna have a real blow-out.

Most of the Republicans I know don't even want to look at McCain. Obama's brilliant move that McCain is Bush term III is another nail in their coffin. I am so enjoying this and getting giddy like you now. It's so delicious to watch those asses drown in their own shit ;)

17. Obama can just let McCain debate himself and stand there.
Did you see Ron Paul take on McCain in the Debates?

It was devastating. Ron Paul was the best debater out of all the Republicans
during their battles. You should watch the youtube clips

26. Don't forget, Bob Barr will most likely be in on the debates....
The media would have no justification for shutting out the only third-party candidate on the ticket.

Barr is a scrappy little fighter and he will be on John McCain like a duck on a june-bug. I think Barr will largely ignore Obama because it doesn't serve any of his interests to attack Obama.
