Well, to tell you the truth, the Memorial Day holiday kind of sucked.

Saturday was the best day. Bright and sunny. I thought about getting in the car with hubby and going to see some nice site. (Daughter went out to Multnomah Falls... I haven't been there for years.) Naw, I thought I'd wait until Sunday to go out (after all, it's SUNday, isn't it?)

Sunday came. There was NO SUN. The hike for husband and son-in-law got called off. Daughter made us brunch, then I went to the mall in the rain. FYI, it's no secret that Victoria's Secret won't take returns without a receipt -- and God forbid you TRY ON A GARMENT -- they won't take it back AT ALL or do an exchange even of gifts that have their name on it. Really wonderful store. My daughter is out $9.50 and I didn't have the heart to tell here I can't wear 3/4 thigh-high stockings... they cut off my circulation and roll down more and more with every step... until they are around my ankles!

OK. So it's Monday, I started badly by growling at my husband that I had wasted the whole weekend. The weather was (AGAIN) not cooperating. I just did stuff around the house -- ALWAYS have stuff to do -- and then took a two-hour nap. After the nap, it was dinnertime. We ate leftovers, and I popped over to the gym from 6 PM to 9 PM -- worked out, swam in the pool, spoke with a beautiful black gentleman named Bernard who works as an accountant. After that, I'm feeling real good after this weekend.

A disaster turned into an OK DAY!

Tomorrow, Grandma and granddaughter go to see "High School Musical" performed on stage. I hope we'll enjoy it, but then I'm a sucker for song and dance!

Have a good day -- heck, it's 2:30 AM and Grandpa is in BED.

I checked some African newspapers after Obama won Iowa, most had the story on the front page, none had it as the paper's headline.

Let alone the "story of the century", it wasn't even the story of the day.

could not win. He said the machine (meaning the Clinton machine) ALWAYS wins. He repeated it over and over. Even when Obama had a good week he would repeat the same things and still make Clinton his power player of the week. Once Obama took over he stopped doing those power rankings. Well, at least I have not noticed them being on the show during that times I watched it lately. I wish he would admit he was wrong about Obama and his ability to win the nomination.
