So if an academic who has spent his life believing that Democracy and free-markets are the way to go and supports a Democrat, how is he not acceptable as a member of the party, but then a hawkish senator who voted for and enabled a Republican war and who espouses many RW foreign policy talking points is, in the end, somehow more acceptable?
