11. I'll be honest - I wouldn't love Hillary on the ticket. But a McCain

presidency is just too horrible to imagine. He is more militaristic than Bush, and smarter than him (wouldn't take much...). I would vote Obama/Clinton rather than take that risk. I know many of my fellow Obama supporters feel the same way.

I believe that's just hyperbole. We're in the midst of a heated campaign and people wanting to make the point that they don't think Hillary should be on the ticket can say that. I don't think people generally vote in the GE based on who the VP is. By November, cooler heads will prevail.

Nonetheless, the people making posts around here that say they will not vote for Obama if Clinton is on the ticket have indicated that they will sit out the GE (or vote downticket only). You contend that these people have said that they would rather see McCain elected than Clinton. I haven't seen that.

As for the general comment -- this country needs a break from the Repugs' rule -- a LONG LONG LONG LONG LONG break. Maybe if Obama wins and is effective and popular, the Repugs would go the way of the Whigs (although a new party lineup would no doubt emerge, perhaps along the lines of Lamont v Lieberman)
