I am Tired of Your Disappointment

I'm taking this break from not posting in this forum (because the primary is over) to express my complete lack of concern for all the "I'm disappointed" posts.

GD-P is a heated forum. If you don't like that, go post in General (which is where everyone should be anyway, since the Primary is over) or LBN or one of the topic forums. It's totally insane to continue posting in GD-P if you don't like it. There is no minimum post per day count here at DU, so go contribute in one of the less heated areas, of which there are many. You're like the dumbass who takes a big swig of sour milk, gags and says "ye gods, it's horrible" then takes another big gulp, just to make sure.

This is an internet forum. People argue on them. DU is one of the least argumentative major forums in existence because it has excellent moderation. If the stuff here makes you feel bad or hurts your feelings, stop friggin' posting in it!!

If your ranting is correct, then why the hell are you still here? Again, there are plenty of quiet, fun, interesting forums on DU, go play in one of them. I rarely post in GD-P anymore because you're right, it is pretty much a cesspool. It appears that doesn't stop you, Mr. Durden, from going cannon-ball style off the diving board into the cesspool on a pretty regular basis.

You know who you are? You're the dude at the free kegger party complaining about the type of beer. Everyone hates that guy. Yeah, you're the dude stomping around complaining that Miller Lite is American swill while everyone else is drinking the free beer and having a pretty good time.

Again, you act is if there is no alternative to GD-P on DU. If you want to live in an echo chamber, find one, plant yourself in it and carry on a conversation with yourself about how great your ideas are and what a super person you are for listening to yourself 24-7.

I don't think GD-P helps Democrats get elected very much, but then it doesn't hurt much either, because at the end of the day GD-P is a web forum that has a user base of a few hundred.

It's still a good place for progressives, liberals, democrats...whatever label you want to apply. It also has GD-P, which is - as I continue to point out - completely voluntary.
