In 9 Days, Win or Lose, I think we'll have our Presumptive Nominee
Edited on Tue May-27-08 08:49 PM by Kittycat
At that point, I'm going to buy a Clinton Supporter a drink or something fun like that. I only know of one in my area though (happens to be a DUer), so we'll have to see what they say about it.

Any other Obama/Clinton supporters up for a similar get together in their area? Could be a great way to start putting this primary season behind us and move forward.

1. "...official Presumptive Nominee"? Sounds like an oxymoron - "official Presumptive"?

2. Don't focus on the unity part.
Note I didn't state who will be that person, and I included win or lose. The post is about finding ways to come together, after a long primary pulling us apart.

13. "Come together"? Why? Everyone think alike? Why?
One party? One people? One leader? One country? I used to know the original German.......

I think I prefer the dignity and the challenges of independent and original thoughts and dreams and ambitions.

That's what being a Democrat used to mean......Not anymore, I guess.

3. You've found the edge of my loyalties...

Free booze.

For that one day, I'll become a Hillary supporter.

Courvoisier, please.

5. Unity Day in the Bay Area May 29th
sponsored by Green 960 (hosts of the infamous Randi Rhodes appearance) with Thom Hartmann. There will be dems from all over including Obama and Clinton delegates. I know it's not AFTER the primaries, but it still should be ood to talk to people of both "sides" and see that we're on the same side.
I'm going, anyone else?

6. Too far for me, but what a great idea.
I'm in the Chicago Burbs. Maybe we can all coordinate something on our own :)

9. Have you considered
that if Clinton some how managed to win the nomination that you would need to work for our support? The point of this thread is win or lose, we are democrats and have to work together. It's a great way to get to know people in your area that were once in different camps. We have far more in common than the alternative (McSameNeverSurrenderBush).

10. Oh I don't disagree that we all have far more in common
than the alternative.

And a majority of the Obama supporters I know in real life are cool people, as opposed to all of the rejects here at General Discussion: Primaries.

That's why nobody is responding to you call for unity.

Rejects.
