Democrats protesting EACH OTHER!?!?
I just heard on the Rachel Maddow show that Democrats will be protesting EACH OTHER at the DNC Meeting on Saturday May 31st.

I just have one question. EXACTLY WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT SUPPOSED TO ACCOMPLISH!?

We have so many more important problems we are facing as a country right now, Democrats should be the last people I need to explain this to.

3. Well that is the right thing to do...
And I would urge fellow Obama supporters to heed that message.

This is NOT constructive in any way to either candidate or the party in my opinon.

7. good move.
if the Obama supporters want to make sure that the SDs hear them, write to them. I got a note from George Mitchell today. He didn't let me in on anything, but he was very polite and said he appreciates my views. :D

9. No doubt Obama will also have people there to explain his wishes.

But also, no doubt Limbaugh and co. will have their people there in Obama and Hillary suits to give the MSM the kind of show the MSM likes best.

8. By calling them on bullshit?
I tried several unity threads. Mostly these were met with disdain. I even gave a star to a Hillary Supporter.

What I see frankly, is a vocal few Clinton supporters putting for specious arguments designed as flame bait.

And if you let an internet discussion forum be the thing that makes you not vote Democrat, where exactly do your priorities lie?

I don't even count you as a Hillary supporter. Just some couch dweeb who likes to stir s**t up. If Hillary wasn't the candidate, you would find some other reason to come on here and mock people.

The sad thing is most people already know this about you and you don't know it about yourself... or you don't care, which is even more pathetic.

The grown ups will do as the adult running suggest, while the others will follow what their "leader" has dictated; lotsa noise.

16. Obama Camp has requested that we not protest, instead...
gather together, and collectively go do a GOTV campaign in neighboring N.VA. They did recommend those that wanted to - to get tickets for the actual hearing. However, there is no protesting or signage allowed inside, and they will not be taking questions from the public.

There's a link here and at dKos about it.

20. PLEASE
Do not continue with the protest. This does nothing for Obama or the nation right now, what we need as a party is unity, desperately. We need to figure out some sort of compromise if necessary and move forward together as a party to ensure John McCain is NOT elected.

28. MI & FL f'd up, and knew going in they were f'n up
They won't save Clinton, but the Democratic Party breaking it's own rules would be very damaging.
At the time the punishment was handed out it benefited nobody, the definition of fair.

Don't get me wrong, if I lived there I'd be furious, but I'd know better then to yell at the person enforcing the rules and yell at the people who broke them. I'd make damn sure those people payed the price.

I don't really care about unity with these misguided or misinformed zealots trying to start trouble.
I'm sure that come November MOST HRC supporters will have the sense to come in out of the McCain.

37. You live in neither FL nor MI. I live and vote in Michigan. No way. No how.
Edited on Wed May-28-08 03:17 AM by TahitiNut
The primary was a FUBAR ... voters told it wouldn't count AT ALL ... most (more than twice as many as voted) stayed home. Many voted in the GOP primary who'd otherwise vote in the Democratic Primary. No candidates faced the voters. No town halls. No rallies. No stump speeches. No campaign organizations. No signage. No spending. No ads. Nothing. Five candidates were even coerced into removing their names from the ballot.

If 1/10th of that kind of vote suppression were done in any monitored election in a thrid world country, it'd be deem illegitimate. Yet, solely out of pique and self-interest, people who don't even live in Michigan spew stupid talking points without the slightest though about equity and justice.

That horse was euthanized before the election was even held. Stop trying to ride it. It's glue.
