Eureka, I've Got It!!!! The Back Door!
Edited on Wed May-28-08 04:11 AM by ruby slippers
I have often thought that the Republicans and the Bush Administration, aka Karl Rove's kitchen, has always used the "back door approach". It seems that they would plant the story to go one way when in fact they were slipping in the back door to get their agenda known. And, it usually has worked for them. While people were opening the front door, they slipped in through the kitchen. I grew accustomed to realize that if they were saying one thing, they were really doing something else.

Lately, it seems like the Obama campaign, whether willingly or accidentally, has had the same great fortune.

Case in point. By accidentally referring to Aushwitz rather than Buchchenwald, it has forced the story into the mainstream media. It now gives the story legs in that Obama has a story that will connect with Jewish voters. Had he mentioned it once and got it correct, the story would have faded. But, by glitching it a little, again whether purely by accident or by strategy, he has opened it up to the RW smear campaign, who by now people are cathcing onto, and it makes them look silly while at the same time keeping a great story on the front pages.

Either way, I think Obama and his campaign are fast learners. They can knock at the front door but have the backups waiting at the back door.
