Poll question: Poll: Are you informed about Obama?
Now that Sen. Barack Obama has a strong chance of being the Democratic nominee, many people are expressing opinions, here and elsewhere, about his qualifications and his chances. How informed are you, and where did you get your information? An explanation of your choice would be helpful.

1. By the way, I'd be very interested to know how those who have read his books and yet
don't support him have come to their conclusions.

3. Where is the room for me?

I have read one of his books and studied his position. :)

Being a foreigner, my support will have to remain just that, though.

4. Been a fan since Dreams From My Father.
His positions and votes haven't been the most progressive, so he was my third choice.

5. This is my experience also.
I first supported Kucinich, then Edwards. I was disappointed when only 2 were left, because I also felt Biden had been a better candidate. However, I've not only read and studied Obama, but I've come to understand what he could do as an energizer and communicator to enlist the power of fresh involvement and citizenship in this country. We so desperately need to turn away from consumerism and toward community action, and he's the best person to lead such a movement.

6. I'm glad to learn that all those non-supporters who responded have studied and read.
I'd expect nothing less from the DU community.

8. No choice for me...
I support Obama, haven't read his books, but have studied his positions.
