•Hillary has been a victim of an unjust war on the first female candidate.
•Obama has been a sneaky, double-dealing candidate who played unfairly.
•Clinton is sooooooooo much more electable than the guy who actually is winning the nomination.
•Why do you hurt us so much with your lies.
•Obama made a mistake, somewhere, somehow, just like our candidate therefore he is just as unelectable and you Obama supporters are hypocrites.

And my favorite: I'm quiting DU because you are all rabid misogynists, and if you don't think you are then I don't have the time to explain it to you.

There are many, many great supporters of Hillary. Many of them are angry because there have been many unfortunate snide comments made on DU that have honestly hurt their feelings. To them I am authentically sorry.

But to the remaining agent provocateurs the only pity I have is for the poor people that they face in their non-virtual life. What a small, shallow, bitter life they must lead. But perhaps I shouldn't feel pity, they may be rolling in the chump change that McCain/Hillary are paying bloggers to infest websites.

in my darkest, most paranoid suspicions, that the assault on the grass roots by the Clinton campaign may have taken a more negative and furious turn when people who spent so much time and vitriol on planting netweeds realized they were not going to get paid. Those most comfortable with carrying on the flame of flame wars could be sustained by actually receiving fair paychecks from the Bush GOP for a job well done.

And none of it regardless of source, except for being flattered too much by the attention of zealots and opportunists, is worth our attention or aggravation anymore than the corporate pundit blurbs that are equally undeserving of note and so unfortunately successful in engaging us away from the work that NEEDS doing and the truth that NEEDS to be told.

There always is a segment of DU ready for rage in some or any form. For their sake we suffer this assault and recognize our own frailty, our own insufficiencies in the time of testing. Clinton is history, how badly judged a chapter still dependent on her final choices. We are not, but we were almost in 2000 and 2002 and 2004. We will be extremely lost in 2008 if we do not do better now. We, not just our candidates.
Doing better does not mean doing each other in. One man no longer has the value of one vote. We need everyone possible to simply get back the beginning of democracy.
