I don't think Hillary is trying to destroy the Dem party...
I think she's trying to win---but if she destroys the Democratic
party in the process--she considers that unfortunate consequence a small price to pay
for pursuing her lifelong, personal dream.

40. So does that mean that I have helped destroy the party
because I voted for him. Are you suggesting that anyone who votes for the wrong candidate is guilty of destroying the party? Is voting, and receiving the most votes, the problem in your view?

TS, how are you doing? How did you make out during those storms over the weekend? We had a funnel cloud on the ground about 8 miles south of us. That was too close for comfort for me. Those poor people in Parkersburg and New Hampton...prayers for them from all of us.

27. Hey Skidmore...
I can't complain. The worst of the storms seemed to go around
Des Moines. We got some heavy rain, and golf-ball sized hail,
but nothing Parkersburg. The pictures from those little towns
are just mind blowing and heartbreaking.

I'm glad you are going ok. :)

32. It was pretty much the same here,
minus the hail. Lots of wind and lightning--really close up and personal lightning. I'm glad you pulled through the storms okay. I was thinking of you and your family while we sat in the basement and listened to the radio.

I wish it would warm up a bit. The flower beds can't decide what season we're in, and we still don't have the vegetable garden tilled. Too muddy.

17. Read Sean Wilentz, "Barack Obama and the Unmaking of the Democratic Party"
" Teixeira and Abramowitz estimate that the Democratic candidate will need to cut Kerry's deficit of 23 percent in 2004 to around 10 percent if he or she is "to achieve a solid popular vote victory." By those lights, Obama, if nominated, is almost certainly destined to lose unless he can suddenly reverse the trend that his own dismissive language and his supporters' contemptuous tone has accelerated during the primaries.

In every presidential election they have won, the Democrats have solidified their historic link to white workers, not dismissed them. Obama and the champions of a new party coalition appear to think that everything has suddenly changed, simply because of the force of their own desires. In any event, Obama had shown no ability thus far to attract the one constituency that has always spelled the difference between victory and defeat for the Democratic Party. The party must now decide whether to go along with Obama and renounce its own heritage -- and tempt the political fates."

21. Riiiiiiggghhhhhttt - you can't be serious
This is quite possibly the silliest thing I've read on the internet. Obama just doesn't have any union support, right? No support from whites, right?

I guess that's all there is to it, I guess we should all ignore common sense and abandon logic and reason, all is lost and we have to vote for McCain.

You guys are pathetic. All you are doing now is throwing a Hillary tantrum and trying to destroy the party so she can have another shot at her dream in 2012.

I had no idea that when you put someone on ignore--you see "ignore" as a response, so
you know that someone you have "ignored" has responded.

Interesting.

Sorry I have to miss his drivel. It was so bad, my neurons screamed in pain, whenever

22. I disagree...
According to Lanny Davis, the Clintons believe that their colleagues in the Senate, other superdelegates, and black Americans have betrayed them. Listen to Carville and his outrageous statement against Richardson. They don't give a damn about the Democratic party. They don't even give a damn about the country. This is about their personal ambition and their lust for power. And you're right: if it just so happens that the Democratic party is dragged down with them, they would feel justified. The problem with the Clintons and their Enablers is that they believe that they are entitled to the presidency. They believe that the presidency is rightfully theirs. The strong-arming of the superdelegates, the threatening of the DNC and party leaders demonstrate that they care nothing of the party.

37. She has to know that if she wins the nom, she won't win the general.

Not now. Not after all of this.

Obama has rarely gone after Hillary Clinton in this primary.

He's rarely gone after Bill Clinton.

If she somehow wrests the nomination from Obama, do you think the Republicans won't use her hijinks in this primary against her? Against the party?

Do you think they won't play the race card? The gender card? The adultery card? The "First Philanderer" card? The lesbian card? Any other cards that they can pull out of their asses?

Do you think that they won't make this entire election about the character of the Clinton's?

Do you think, if she steals this nomination, she will get all of the Obama voters?

Will she get ANY Republican votes?

Do you know how many Republicans will get up off of their couches JUST to vote against her?

Do you think that a campaign that was reduced to stealing the Democratic nomination has a chance against the Republicans, who have built their entire party on stealing?

We have to stop pretending that she is doing ANYTHING other than trying to deceive the American people and steal this nomination. Or to guarantee Obama's loss in November so that she can try to steal it again in 2012.

She, Bill, and her campaign, have been depending on our silence as they attempt the most outrageous theft since 2000. That is why they have gotten this far.

Enough.

45. Quite a few of those characteristics CLEARLY apply to Obama too
anyone denying that is either deluded (i.e. fails to see the world objectively) or is dishonest.

Neither one of them lack empathy, however, which psychologists will tell you is the key criteria here.
